Round 1 of the 2023 Hostplus SANFL League season kicks off on the weekend of Saturday April 1, with the full fixture to be released by SANFL early next week.

2023 SANFL Hostplus League Trial Match Schedule
WEEK 1
Friday March 3
Glenelg v Sturt at Thebarton Oval – Time TBC

Saturday March 4
North v Eagles at Thebarton Oval – Time TBC
Central v Norwood at The Parade – 1.30pm
South v West at Flinders University Stadium – 1.30pm



WEEK 2
Saturday March 11
North v South at Thebarton Oval – 12.20pm
West v Eagles at Hisense Stadium – 12.30pm
Sturt v Norwood at The Parade – 12.30pm
Central v Glenelg at X Convenience Oval – 12.40pm



WEEK 3
Friday March 17
West v Sturt at Hisense Stadium – 5pm

Saturday March 18
North v Port at Thebarton Oval – 11am
Central v South at X Convenience Oval – 2.20pm
Glenelg v Adelaide at Thebarton Oval – 4pm

Current premiers at home to the previous premiers to kick off the season.
Personally really rate the concept, I think the league could be on to something to carry on in years to come.
Lights obviously being a limitation to a Friday night start depending on the competing teams, if not play as a standalone Saturday afternoon game.
Trust the process.

Same with Dogs v Panthers, playing their 3rd trial at Eliz and then playing each other again Rd 1 at Noarlunga. At least we’ll have a big enough squad to play two different line ups in each game to throw them off the scent…
