Prediction thread!!

Postby whufc » Wed Feb 01, 2023 12:20 pm

Don't know about others but love a good prediction big, small, controversial.

Any topic subject allowed provided its appropriate. Often provide good talking points.

Ill start with some obvious and not so obvious ones....

-Cashless by 2030
-Australia Day moved by 2026
-Pens won't exist by 2040.
-3 test cricket nations by 2033
-Tarlee to be a standard suburb by 2035
-The truth about sandpaper gate to one day come out.
-A centrals premiership before 2030

Australia Day to be moved?
I reckon it will be abolished!
I've asked a few groups to what day they would like it moved to & the silence is deafening!
They just resent the fact that we came here.

It was f****** hard, I have a genuine love for a lot of colleagues, every day pretty much everyone stops by my office for a chat, any feeling down comes in for support knowing I will pick them up and make them feel better.

I had at least half a dozen people break down in tears when they heard I was leaving, it was strange, to feel relieved, sad and happy all in one.

I’ve been here for 24 of the past 27 years, I’ve seen friends have babies that now work here, I’m going to miss the place and it feels reciprocated.

The farewell is going to epic.

I support the idea of the "Voice" to make recommendations to our government, and scrapping "Australia Day" for another date with another name to help reconciliation, but for all we know there may have been another group here before our Aborigines came too...

Early humans have been wandering around for a very long time. Through my mother's line I've inherited genetic residues from the Franks, and other German tribes, and also from Scandinavians, all of whom invaded Britain. And then there is my 3% Neanderthal ancestry, and my Mitochondria which came from Lapland presumably via a female invader - since only females pass on Mitochondria.

Similar, I doubt it.

Every time I go to a family funeral all my cousins say we should catch up more often, we never do, we’ve run out of aunties and uncles to die, it will be us next.

After being an extrovert for the majority of my life I changed about 10 years ago, I am now a full on introvert, I’m happy with my own company and don’t venture out too much, it was funny when I was in the dating scene, I’d look forward to date night all week then on the day I’d hope like buggery that they’d cancel.
