Fair enough, random question from my lad and his girlfriend asking if I knew of any greyhound syndicates as they would like to buy into one.

They don’t bet but like watching them, who knew?

Ah ok, they would be better off trying to start up their own syndicate, all it takes is some paper work at angle park.
I can steer them in the right direction if you need.
At least that way they’ll have full control of their money and any dealings that get done.
Plenty of dogs for sale on greyhound data website or they could approach someone on track. Most trainers have something for sale (or even giveaway) that they could have a bit of fun with.

My advice, get involved a little now for a small amount of $$$, mainly just to get to know the industry, and then later they can get more involved as they get a bit more experience.

PM me if you want more details, or if they’d like to meet up for some advice on track.

Thanks groover, I appreciate the advice and the offer.

I know they sent off some emails to interstate syndicates today but they’d prefer local so they can go and watch but couldn’t find anything local. They have also messaged GRSA

I’ll have a chat with them over the weekend.

you have more faith in GRSA than I do

interstate syndicates are ok, but make sure you do your homework on them. Ongoing costs, when priemoney is paid out etc, many syndicates do things differently.

as for local syndicates, I think they probably better off starting their own up as Groover said. there isnt a lot of local syndications here in SA.

8 heats so only winners are guaranteed a start in the final a week later. Currently $1.50.

Think I will take the $5.50 on winning the final instead.

Belts them after being slowly away. 29.72.

that was an impressive win, the dog showed a bit of smarts after being slow out. that could have easily been carnage at T1, but just pulled out behind them and went whoooooshka

I seen GRSA advertising for all sorts of positions from casual race day staff to a marketing manager.
hopefully the next marketing manager, is someone who is atleast familiar with the industry.
