The Gowans Ends would be appropriate. Was there any others that played in all 9 premierships of that (unbelievable) era?

Slade??

Nup, Sladey finished at the end of 2008 i think,

Richie Cochrane & Daniel Schell played in every premiership season too.

Nah neither of them were in the 2000 side. Richie first was 2003 i believe. Sam McArdle and Kynan Ford were the big forwards in 2000. I think Ritchie and Paul Thomas won the reserves premiership in 2002 with Roy Laird and then got their first league one in 2023 under Lairdy as well. Albeit i think they both made their league debuts in 2000 (could be wrong on that)
I think that's what Gazza was saying.

they reckon Travis is DEFINITELY back to train & play this season, once he returns from overseas.

Did they say when he and Bre are expected back?

I think he intimated mid season, but I didn't go right into it, was too busy talking caravans :D

Is Nick Lange still with us? I notice Jayden Matz is wearing his 29 this year.

I sure hope he is. It may just be a number change for Jayden for this week. Nick's profile is there on our updated player list.

Linke has grown I hardly recognised him. Massive set of shoulders on him now.

McCormack is taking some nice pack marks early.

Not too disappointed with the result on the weekend. I think it would be pretty naive to think you can throw 10 plus blokes into the league and expect them all to gel straight away.

I expect we might start the season a tad slow and get better as the year goes on.

I don't think the score from trial games really matters anyway. As long as everyone has an opportunity to learn and implement the team plan and we create structure, I will be happy. I might go along on Friday night and see how we go against the 2023 premiers ;)

If that is the case, then, unfortunately I won't be there; still involved with Old Ignatians' cricket.

Do you like it though, Dutchy?
I think it is great and it also helps with fund raising.... 'adopt a picket'.
