Victoria beat NSW by 10 wickets to take NSW's winless streak to a state record 11 matches (five draws and six losses) starting in February last year.

NSW are certain to finish bottom of the table and if they lose their final match of the season against South Australia, it will be only the second time in their 130 year Sheffield Shield history that they've finished a season winless.

Victoria 331
Short 104
Hatcher 4/95

NSW second innings 130
Green 39*
Perry 4/30

Vic second innings 0/3

And WA beat Tasmania by 9 wickets
Tas second innings 236
Jewell 121
Stobo 4/57

WA second innings 1/82

Trent Copeland announced his retirement from first class cricket, he took 344 Sheffield Shield wickets, the third most for NSW.

I'd love to know how many wickets he took against South Australia out of interest, does anyone on here know how to find that out? Unless I'm doing something wrong his stats on MyCricket don't appear go all the way back to when he first started playing for NSW in 2010.

Bird got 94 wickets against SA (@ 21).

Peter Siddle really cashed against us - 77 wickets @ 17, with a S/R of 40.

I’d hazard a guess and say most bowlers would have their best bowling figures against the redbacks.

Of course no discussion about cashing in v SA is complete without reference to the ultimate flat track bully.

Nick Marsh stats in SS (100s/50s in brackets):
v QLD 1559 runs @ 56 (4/8)
v SA 2242 runs @ 55 (8/8)
v VIC 1498 runs @ 37(4/6)
v NSW 1313 runs @ 35 (2/7)
v TAS 1735 runs @ 35 (2/14)

Certainly clocked up centuries against us for fun, although I was surprised about the average v Queensland being very high as well.

Thought once they added Kelvin to the squad he was certain to play instead of Carder. Seems pointless taking him there otherwise. Carder is not a one day player, and struggling big time in any cricket currently  Went the easy option with same team in the end.
