Call it blind hope or wide eyed optimism but I’m not writing us off yet and give us some chance of chalking a win up today. Last weeks blustery conditions at Noarlunga weren’t ideal for a largely new looking outfit, and South may yet prove to be a big improver this year. North couldn’t have been too impressive last week against a Westies outfit looking a bit thin on experience and talent.
Although blustery conditions again today at least home ground advantage comes into play..
Liddy coming into the side will add a bit of grunt in the middle, I thought he looked ok in the trials.
One bloke we will need to keep quiet is Aaron Young who tore us a new one in the corresponding fixture last year..
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Cowham, Habel and Olsson the three who drop out of our squad; Liddy and Pickering to debut. Bit surprised at Olsson's demotion.

1/4 time

Dogs 5.3. 33
North 0.3. 3

Best quarter from the dogs in a very long time.

Forward line pressure has been great. Skills in the backlines have been good.

The way the ball is travelling in the air I'm not convinced the wind wont play a role.

That was extremely impressive. Not sure if Centrals were outstanding, or North just looked like they couldn't give a shi5? Will find out this quarter

Central 6.7.43

Best half in a long time....

Skills look a lot better.

Cant help but think we still might have that 1 bad quarter.....fingers crossed.

The way Centrals have moved the ball from one end to the other has looked very impressive.

North's skills have been deplorable, normally so good by foot but missing 15 metre kicks under no pressure

North should be alot further behind, Central missed a few easy ones

But they are the best side out on the park by thelength of the Ponderosa.

Central fans alot to look forward to moving forward

As for North, one of the more inept first halves i have seen them play since September 1989

3/4 time

9.9.63
3.6. 24

Little bit undiscplined by the dogs and inside 50's were poor but still outscored the Roosters.

One last quarters.....u dogs.
