What's that mean in reality to the good burghers of Adelaide? Given greater Darwin and Palmerston (120K) is roughly 10% of the population of Adelaide and Elizabeth/Noarlunga (1.2 Mill) that is equivalent of 1000 people a night sleeping rough in each of Colonades, Marion, Burnside and Elizabeth shopping centres car parks

another 25 - 35 000 people sleeping rough across the city wherever they can, "you got dollar Cuz, I'm hungry...."

We got a problem, 'Straya

For some the ''unlucky'' country.

Hearing that Father Bob had passed away.

The word champion is used often but he was and still is an out and out people’s champion. He did so much for his community and asked for nothing in return.

RIP Father Bob.

My Mum's health...

She had been diagnosed with dementia and apart from being the usual forgetful sort of stuff she was in good form.

About 3 weeks ago she collapsed and had a seizure, and they arent sure what caused it. Since then, her memory has dropped off the cliff and she is getting quite nasty with dad, when she was never like that before.

On Monday she had another seizure and has become quite aggressive to those around her...

Poor Dad is a mess and not sure what to do, he is worried that if he leaves the house for anything Mum is going to do something stupid through no fault of her own. Dad and I are doing our best but not sure what the best thing to do actually is?

I’ve worked closely with some of his understudy’s for a few years and a couple of them are more ruthless than Alan so will be interesting to see how things pan out. Vanessa is a good operator but she is a staunch Joyce follower and is known in the industry for her hatchet jobs. Goyder doesn’t like rocking the boat too much so a Joyce replacement was always going to be one that has been groomed for the job

We had a friend over for dinner on Saturday night.
She works onboard QF international flights
Some of her stories about (lack of) service levels were pretty astonishing

The Middle Eastern airlines are going to continue to take market share
They are better than the Asian airlines, at the moment, although I haven't flown Singapore for a number of years
Qantas are a distance behind in most, if not all, areas
