The first game of the year we will go in favourites which could be a problem in itself if the attitude isn’t spot on. Westies playing some solid footy and won’t be easy, particularly with Beech back. Hope Habel and Launer get an opportunity - both creative skilful players who look too good to be playing reserves footy..
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

West have improved too,
they've had a couple of big quarters in a few matches so far, we have to make sure that doesn't happen,
don't want to find ourselves 5 or 6 goals down during the match.

I'm nervously confident, we should win,
one thing which encourages me is the fact that finally we aren't relying on the usual players, last week our best players were newbies.
I think we'll win, between 3 to 5 goals.

I fear this will be a lot closer than some are thinking. The weather is set to make it a low-scoring match and West have definitely improved this season too. If we don't bring our A game, if we don't go in 100% switched on, West can win this.
That being said, apart from our first match, we have been very consistent and have put together four-quarter efforts. Commitment like we have been showing should see us sneak in by a couple of goals.

'Dogs falling a lousy few points last week of being one of five teams on 3 and 1. Looking balanced, hungry and confident.

I'm not reading too much into West's last result against the Power seconds, West are better than that.

Home side by three to four goals I reckon.

“The Central District Football Club would like to congratulate Anzac Lochowiak who will make his League debut for the Club tomorrow against West Adelaide.”
Good to see another recruit debut.. will add a bit of X factor and dash around half forward/wing I expect..

Cowham appears to be the other player to come into the side. I do hope our League boys are more switched on than our Ressies: terrible first quarter.

Much better second quarter; have kicked 6 of the last 7 goals. Just took a quarter to get warmed up in the cold. ;)
