More than 1 will be a stinking decision.

Not in play, high contact, player concussed - he gets 3.

Not in play is always an interesting one.
To me, not in play is 80m off the ball you turn and wack someone.
Willie puts a block on as Finlayson leads and takes the mark. To me, it was in play.

But yeah, I recon he'll get a few.

If i didn't love Port Adelaide so much, Essendon would 100% be my team on the back of my weekend,

It commenced with SAPN clients taking me to the Essendon function upstairs at the Rydges (Southpark) On stage was Kevin Sheedy, Mark Harvey, Bomber Thompson, Dustin Fletcher and Nick Cox. Sheedy was in some fine form, been at a Richmond reunion all day then flew to Adelaide he was on fire, Fletcher and Bomber spoke really well and Mark Harvey told a few great yarns. They sang the Essendon song and i stated it'll be the last time you freaks hear that for the weekend, Harvey hears me say it and laughs, comes over to me i says i instantly like you, that was quite funny.

Harvey, Fletcher and Bomber then come over and has multiple beers on our table, i was in form (had a fair day on the piss) i proceeded to tell Fletcher i'd kick 8 on him for something to do, Bomber was very level headed but everytime Harvey spoke i'd rip in to him about getting sacked twice and once by Freo! It was all light hearted banter, at which stage they started going back at me! They then asked where i was heading after the show, i replied the casino, we'll meet you there Harvey says.

I get to the Casino and sure enough they rock up, massive night singing dancing and carrying on as you do, at 5.30am i call it, Lads, I've have to go i've got SAPN clients in our corporate box tomorrow. Harvey says 'what's ya box number? I'll pop in with a couple of the lads' i thought yeah yeah, I'm sure you will but told him the number and said my goodbyes and left. I get to the box about 11.45am Sunday morning (severely under the weather) within 10 mins they all rock up, (except Bomber they couldn't find him! lol  ) Sheedy had commitments couldn't stay, Fletcher stayed 3x 1/4's and Harvey stayed literally the whole game and it was full on banter, we stood drinking all day talking shit and ripping in to each other, i loved it.

Absolutely ripping blokes, I couldn't speak higher of any of them. throughout the night and day they told some amazing stories yet were all extremely humble and great blokes to talk too.

The Match Review Officer (MRO) graded the strike as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, sending Rioli straight to the Tribunal and leaving the forward facing a suspension of three-plus matches.

So basically the same classification as Brady Searle in the SANFL last week
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

As it stands he would looking at 3-4.
I’d say Port will try to get it downgraded from severe to high which gets him 2 weeks

Using the logic on here from last week, got to stamp out head high contact and the long term effects of concussion

Game needs to make a statement so players know the onus on them is to provide a duty of care to their fellow professionals

Yeah they’ll try and get it down but like last week it’s all going to depend on the Drs report

I've never subscribed to the booing was racially motivated but if all of a sudden Franklin is the target of booing it's hard to defend my previous thoughts.

Never understood the mentality of booing a player. I get it if a player left your club and it's first time as opposition or if a player injures one of your players but surely its a one match thing and then you move on. It's very shameful the way Goodes left the game and I hope Franklin doesn't end the same way. Going on what's happened with JHF this season, he can expect it to happen this weekend but hopefully then it's done. I'm all for crowd interaction but booing, especially targeted, is one of the lowest things a supporter can do in my book.

Would love to see the players of the team who's fans are doing the booing to just stop the play every time they do it & motion for them to stop doing it. As an example, I reckon the Hawthorn booing of Goodes would have quickly ceased if the likes of Hodge, Mitchell, Burgoyne etc just held up play when Goodes took a mark & motioned to their supporters to stop it.

Now there’re reports that Junior Rioli was the subject of racial abuse on the weekend.

Now given their history of aboriginal players and their links to the Tiwi Is, the last club you’d arguably expect this from is Essendon.

Fair dinkum when will this idiocy stop???

Firstly we don’t know if it was one our supporters as he has copped plenty over the incident from supporters of other clubs too. If it is one of our members they will be found and dealt with accordingly as the club has a zero tolerance policy on this.

True it’s an online abuse and the club of the person wasn’t named.

Unlike me to go off half baked….

However point remains seriously how intellectually challenged do you have to be to type that sh!te

Interesting he’s been sent straight to the tribunal.

As I said I recon he’d get a few but straight to the tribunal suggests they are considering a lot more.

We know the tribunal has increased penalties, especially recently, but when you consider Bashar Houli got 4 (it was just two before the AFL appealed) for knocking Jed Lamb out cold with a swinging arm, I would have thought a block/Shepard that sees the outstretched arm clipping the opponent is a far lower offence.

Perhaps Junior needs the PM and a national talk show host to appear at the tribunal on his behalf!

Oh and how can van Rooyen from the Dees be classified as high impact when Ballard gets stretchered off, but Junior’s is severe when the bomber walked off himself?
