Off to Darwin soon for a couple of weeks. Looking forward to getting back to the old stomping grounds and catching up with family and friends. Oh and the fishing and mud crabbing too,
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Next week up in the Flinders, fully paid for camp with cultural tours of Wilpena Pound, Arkaroola Rock, Wadinga, Jarvis Hill, etc. (Travel, Food, tours and accom included and my work is paying me cultural leave for the week).
Haven't been up there since I was a kid and looking forward to meeting new people and having a few yarns around the camp fire.
Just hope the cabins we're staying in are near the Hawker pub. ;)

Hawker, no idea where though, just know there will be a heap of cabins.
Just told a mate I'd be willing to do up to a 10km roundtrip walk to and from the pub. Anymore than that and I'll dry out for the week.

Missus bought a pressure cooker yesterday. She did her beef pot roast recipe but with diced beef instead, was pull apart ready in 30 mins. She thickened the sauce and made into chunky beef pies. Side of shoestring fries with a splash of Frank's Hot Sauce was magnificent.
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

On a day that I class myself officially old, I’m hosting my youngest’s 18th today, it was hectic yesterday getting prepared and will be more hectic today cooking single-handedly for about 50 people.

I didn’t have a budget as I knew I’d blow it anyway but it will be worth every cent.

Now I guess I can move on to my next mistake, I’ve kept myself at arms length from the fairer sex, I think it’s time to go and explore the options that have been presented so I don’t grow old alone.

Have a great day everyone, I certainly will.

Love Palm Cove but a week or 2 is usually enough, I can’t stand the heat and humidity for much longer than that these days.
Heading to Bali and Jakarta for 2 weeks in a fortnight and 2 weeks of the heat will be more than enough
