this morning at Flaggy in superb conditions.

golf wasnt at the same standard as yesterday... Driving was still very solid, so may have turned the corner there....
managed 2 birdies for the day, but unfortunately they were wasted... including one on the 8th, I could have done with that yesterday

out to 15.9 now.

Was having a cracker this morning then it turned to shit the last 3 holes!

2nd round of Mid-Week club champs (I'm going for 3 in a row)

1st round last week horrible front 9 I had 43 off the bat 8 over playing off 4 i was filthy. I was actually contemplating DQ myself, but decided against it as if someone else did that i would absolutely rip in to them. I played a very nice back 9, ended up 1 under for 77 off the bat nett 73.

The 77 had me sitting 3rd going into today's round, I Opened with a bogey on the par 3 1st, eehh it happens. get to the 4th 169m to the pin par 3 i put a 4 iron to a meter and make the putt, Birdie, off to the 5th (closest to pin second shot) driver off the tee 76m out gap wedge bounces a foot below the hole, 2nd bounce checks and drops in for eagle! 6th tee shortish par 4, 3 wood of the tee, I left the club face right open pushed out to the right had a real tight gap to get through, and i mean real tight! My playing partner 'Lets see you birdie this one smart ass' i choke down on a 5 iron punch it through the gap, it rolls up hits the pin and sits a foot from the cup, lol  He was filthy 4 under for the 3 holes!

At the turn 2 under 33, sitting in a real good spot, i had a really soft Bogey on 11 (3 putts, tough pin position) then another soft bogey on 15 had to hit out sideways, get to 16 long par 5, nice drive up the middle left me 218m out with a slight breeze behind me, i had a crack with my 3 wood literally hit the side mound of the green and went OB, walked off with a double off to the 17th long par 4, Index 1, I got under the drive which cost major meterage, second well short shit wedge in walked off with bogey the 18th tee hit my drive in anger no good resulting in bogey.

Finished with 74. Happy enough, but what could've been!

teed off at 12 at flaggy, just trying to find the best of the weather.

Driver started off just drifting left. but soon made some adjustments and got that sorted out.
putting was average
used the one length GW around the greens and just over shot the mark a few times.
31points.

McCracken tomorrow morning

McCracken

I stuffed up the first hole, should have had a 62 but miscalculated my shots and picked up.
Short hitters don't expect to be GIR on a par 5
From there, 2nd hole pushed the ball into the tree on the right. Didn't bother looking.
So just hit tee shots and 2nd shots and picked up where Par was going to be a hard task
Grand total of 7

See that a bit in matchplay at Club champs, the top seeded groups crashing out. Very disappointing

final round this morning.

Greens cut last night and rolled this morning, super quick, but i'm good with that it just took some getting use to. front 9 was ok, score wasn't great but lipped out 4 times, yep 4 time  and had a 3 putt on the par 3 4th. Turned 6 over 41, felt better than that, just the putting was the issue.

Back 9 started well with a birdie on the par 3 11th, finished the back 9 with 1 over 36, 77 off the stick, he'll need to shoot the course record to beat me and i watched him open with a bogey on the first. He plays off 8 or 9 so possible, but highly unlikely.
