flaggy

this morning in what was dark, gloomy, wet and very uninviting conditions
some of those that did roll up hid undercover as their tee times went past....
Driver was quite solid today, working on a straight/little fade shot which worked
wiped 3 holes, 2 of those should have 2 points but threw the toys out of the cot
putting was a guessing game, some greens were saturated and others had drained away ok
haooy with how i played for the most part, ended up with 29points

off to North adelaide South course tomorrow

North Adelaide South Course

a pleasant winters day.

started off with a Par after pulling the drive into the rough on the right.
from there the consistency that i have had with the Driver left, had a couple of good hits but for the most part I was scrambling around.
putting wasnt too bad today, rolled them fairly well, the greens are a little slower but were fairly consistent.

wiped 2, both par 3s

finished with 37points, did set a total for the challengers and 2 of them got me! 3rd overall.

now 14.5

Flaggy this morning for stroke

started on 10 and the 3rd shot ran through the backof the green. made a mess. 7
next hole pushed the driver, hit a tree and then kicked out onto the 15th fairway...6
then on the 12th just a simple pull left into the rubbish near the houses, just took the penalty drop for a 9
greens were quick
50 on the front 9

much more consistent on the second nine

came home in 41 for 91 which adjusted down to 89.

14.5 gets back out to 15

Vines yesterday. Cool and breezy but no rain.

Course boggy in patches but greens still sharp.

Driving inconsistent, irons inconsistent, putting very average. 28 points.

Looking to get some more regular hits to try and get back to something resembling golf.

Midweek comp (orange tees, short course) which made my handicap +4

Mindset was it would be easy, it definitely is not! It's actually a whole different mind set, 7-8 holes reachable par 4's but, as they're reachable you have a crack then miss and you're in really bad spots. Course was also very wet. Its par 68 shot 71 off the batt for nett 75.

On the up side a 40 point flag dropped off and 3 of my next 4 rounds are all flags.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

I played in the mid week comp yesterday too, off white tees, normally play blue tees. Gave me a handicap of 9 had 37 points with no scrubs.
Moved my GA down by .5 to 13.6, happy with that.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Tuesday Comp- Par
(not my favourite comp that's for sure)

Played off 4 today and as per usual in a par round, I birdied 2 of the holes i get a shot on! That really pisses me off, Just as much as stupid fooks in my group "Ohh is that a double plus hahaha" shut up.......

Finished +2

Actually felt like i played really well today, attacked pins as greens were very soft, putted well, didn't have many chips at all as my irons were really solid today hence hitting most greens in reg.

Overall pretty happy, apart from having to go to work after it.

Plus 2 with two "double plusses", that mean shot even with the card? Good golf :D
