Twitter already blowing up about this decision and how they can get Ashwin into the game as a concussion sub.

Really surprised they didn't pick Ashwin. Surely they didn't misread the pitch thst much?

Typical Indian cowardice. Saw the colour of the pitch and shit their pants.
The old English saying of “Look up, not down” is one that should always be heeded in England.
I would have been filthy if Pat had won the toss and bowled

Well batted Australia. That was a tough pitch to start on but get in and it's happy days.
They should know colour doesn't matter so why they left Ashwin out is nuts.
Travis batted brilliantly and Smith doesn't look like getting out.
Bat the cheats out of the game, then attack with the ball.

Bowling them out twice is going to be difficult.
Going to need plenty of time for that

Only one draw in the last 15 years at The Oval (2013 Ashes and there was going to be a result but bad light intervened), that being said weather on Day 4 & 5 is not great and reserve day can only be used to catch up on overs lost - they cant use the day to play until there is a result. Reserve day weather looks worse than Day 4 & 5.

Can see us getting aggressive tonight and having a good 45 odd overs at them on Day 2.

If rolling out a pitch to suit the home nation is cheating then we are all guilty
