The matches will run from Thursday 4 April through Sunday 7 April, with the fixture of matches to be announced later in the year.

After reviewing the success that was the inaugural Gather Round in 2023, Round 4 2024 was identified to enable greater fixture flexibility and greater ability to maximise interstate travel with the dates falling in the middle weekend of school holidays for Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.

Announcing the dates early allows fans to start to book travel and accommodation ahead of the four days of matches.

Adelaide Oval will again be the centrepiece, with the regional venues and ticketing and premium event experience information to be confirmed at a later date.

A thread I have read on Twitter this morning :

98% of Hotel is gone in less than 3 hours. Down to my last room.

18 years in this industry in 3 years and ive never seen anything like it.

as a picture, Im probably the cheapest hotel this side of the CBD within 100m of Adelaide Oval - and these rooms have gone for at least 330 per night, without parking or meals or anything else.

Every booking is a minimum 3 day stay.

prices doubled from 12pm to 3.30pm....and still everything sold
Still some rooms available in the CBD but yep they have doubled or tripled in price

Great for the economy in SA, pain in the pocket for us, they don’t want us staying in the city that weekend, they want us catching Ubers etc. Very smart move. As much as I’d love to spend 3 nights in the city and watch a few games over the weekend, I don’t mind the state cashing in for a change, we’d all be spewing if it was elsewhere.

Should be in the Hall of Very Good, not Hall of Fame. 1 Brownlow, 2 AA nods, one glorified best on ground medal. That's it for personal accolades. Career isn't any better than Cooney, Priddis or Woewodin, none of those are HOF worthy.

Surely this is a poor attempt at trolling??? This can't be serious.

Not even close to trolling. The Hall of Fame should represent brilliant players, not being a part of an brilliant team. The fact he never was rated highly enough by his own team to win a B&F says it all. If his own club didn't think he was the best player in a given season, how the hell does he make it to the HOF???

Ah yes Oliver with a drug strike for cocaine so instead of Melbourne making up a 4 week hamstring injury they make up this 1 week hamstring blister fitness injury to inspire this scuttlebut .

not sure how many best and fairest Bruce McAvaney won?

But seriously,

305 games
Brownlow Medal: 2007
Norm Smith Medal: 2011
3x AFL Premiership: 2007, 2009, 2011
2x All-Australian Team: 2007, 2008

Won a Brownlow in a premiership season... greatness sometimes isn't just defined by awards. Which he won the most important ones. Norm smith, premiership and Brownlow. Bartel has achieved more than the players you mentioned. He was a excellent ambassador for our game.
Everyone who was inducted were great choices. All deserving

Beaten to B&F by Scarlett, Ablett, Selwood, Hawkins, Danger...

The only knock on him for me is he shouldnt be inducted so quickly, but deserves it nonetheless
