Norwood trying to clean up the goal ump.... disgraceful act

As expected they are better in very aspect of the game. We toughed it out for about 20 minutes before running up the white flag

Wow, the Bays are good but the umpiring is very poor in the Glenelg forward line. Some baffling holding the ball decisions .

If they paid a third of the blatant ones they’ve missed I’d be happy.

Glenelg miles too good but we didn’t help ourselves with poor decisions and poor accuracy.
If we Indy up a few things we will win more than we lose in the run home and hopefully can avoid the spoon

I genuinely hope Norwood can make the 5.

They would inject some life into the final series.

Not going to happen and we really don’t deserve to.
We just needed to pinch one or two of those close ones early on but it wasn’t to be

Geez Norwood complain a lot even though they get a great ride from the umpires. I’m not sure what game they’re watching, they get away with a ton of scragging, hanging on and in the back free kicks that should be paid, we got a few but could’ve easily had more. Complaining when clear holding the ball or throws are called against them. Strange lot, it’s ok to be one eyed but sometimes it’s a bit over the top.. Anyway, I thought we played just ok today, a bit flat at times but did just enough to get the win. Will need to play better when it matters but glad we responded when challenged later in the game.

I’ve always thought the Western Stand lack if awareness of the laws of footy comes from a degree of inherent Eastern suburbs sense of entitlement.

Just watching the replay now having missed the game yesterday due to being “Phil Inn” for cricket yesterday

12 min mark Matty Snook gets ridden harder in the back than a maiden in the 1st at Morphettville umpire correctly pays in the back, the Western stand is up in arms

23 min mark Scharenburg gets pushed into Woods St by Norwood’s Bogle in the marking contest, the rage meter in the Western stand hits extreme as he is made to give the ball to Shaz for the correct interpretation of the laws of Australian Football.

The less said about their reaction to the Hosie dangerous tackle in the last the better.

Some of populace of the Western Stand wouldn’t look out of place as extras in the movie Clueless.

Is one of the ones you are talking about the free to Gerloff in the 3rd qtr where The Norwood player tried to evade the tackle (therefore voiding his “no prior opportunity”) and got tackled by two Glenelg players?

A lot of footy fans, not just Norwood ones, could do well to read the front of the law book where the definitions are.

If only half the holds on McBean were paid in our forward line….

Watched the game from the comfort of the WBCC. I didn’t notice us copping a rough deal from the umps, as always there were plenty missed for both sides. Early in the piece directly in front is us a Bay lad received a free for in the back in a marking contest, which was clearly there but geez it felt like an eternity before the ump paid it. They are often bewildering. Bays too efficient and clinical with their better skills. Thought we had a good dip, but also felt the Bays rarely moved out of 2nd gear.

Norwood are better than 10th

We had to shift up the gears in the last when Norwood got to within a goal.

Glenelg were good when it mattered and deserved the win. I don't feel like it was a 5 goal result if that makes sense. The decisions that baffled me were a soft high tackle to Glenelg early that resulted in a goal for too high, Tranfa was tough being caught htb and McBean kicked one in a ruck infringement in which he admitted that he didn't nominate for the ruck contest. He even kicked a goal that was obviously touched. I think that you'll find that some supporters were filthy stemming from the Saunders incident at the Bay earlier. For what it's worth, I respect McBean immensely, he speaks well and is a class act. Those other decisions that have been mentioned were correct against Norwood. Allen is also a gun player who i enjoy watching too.

Sorry about the lack of humour with the incident way back in April, but you'll feel better knowing that the injury to Saunders has put him out for the rest of the season.
