You could say the child care worker is clearly an idiot to start with. You've never been able to smack someone else's kid. Even before smacking was banned.

You would struggle to find soccer lovers amongst Carlton supporters given most of them have an Italian or Greek heritage.

Both! Still on 1.99% so not super keen on the new arrangements.

Also looking to change lender so there's a few more hoops to jump through.

Jesus just went through this.

Came off fixed term, so be it. NAB's variable rate was extortionate, shopped around.

Westpac offered 2% less and $5k cashback.

Took this to NAB and said I'll eat the $5k to save on the paperwork if they could match the rate. They declined to do so.

The level of ******* around has been immense.

Times have changed.
A couple of years ago, banks would give you a reduced rate, 4k signing bonus and weekly BJs for a year to take your business...

I bet NAB rang back later and tried to match

I was with Citi and they have gone to shite since NAB took over so I have moved to ING and credit card to HSBC (frequent flyer points the only consideration)

NAB "Retention" just called me wanting to match and $4k cashback (so they are still offering them)
I had great pleasure in telling them I have no idea what rate I am paying with the new bank. I just dont want to be with NAB

Getting a credit card is getting difficult again

Just in this my son and his girlfriend are looking at getting a home, both 21 and have enough saved for a good deposit. Both retail workers, it’s ridiculous the amount the bank are offering them. No wonder people find themselves in financial trouble, no way would I allow them to get the amount they have been offered.

I’m guessing no dependence help’s however they would expect to have kids in the next 25 years

Have to say I find this surprising. (Not saying you're BS'ing)
I'm hearing multiple reports of credit contraction for everyone but especially young people
I was at a bank function last night - they are still using current rates + 3% buffer to check credit

Its never been tougher to get a Home Loan so take comfort in that, however you are right it is assessed on their position now, not in the future (although you expect income/position to improve as they get older)
