Chad Wingard with a torn Achilles probably ends his career

Just turned 30 and out of contract. Knowing 2024 will basically be a year of rehab any deal he gets would need to be 2 years with one going to the physio rooms.

If this is it ( I don't think it will be ) how much of the best of Wingard did we see? 60%? 70%? Feels like he'd be leaving a lot out there as he was never the player at Hawthorn that he was at Port, sublimely talented player on his day.

You think he’ll play again?

He just wasn’t consistent enough, his best was as good as anyone but didn’t show it enough.

Fair play to the Hawks :

Chad Wingard has re-signed with Hawthorn on a one-year deal. Fantastic result after his ruptured Achilles. Some hope he’ll be able to play a part in the last 6-8 weeks of 2024
