They don’t check anything anymore and it’s not a requirement to enter Indonesia

Oh beautiful. Got stitched up by the ex a tad....middle daughter had first vaccine but unbeknown to me had a really bad reaction to it so the ex didn't get her to have any more of the vaccinations.

Wherever I go around the world I just use Global roaming. International day passes are ok value and nearly every pub, shop, cafe etc has free Wifi

I take an old phone with no sim card to use as my camera and mobile device using the wi-fi where ever I am. If I lose it or jump into a pool pissed ( again  ) whatever, I then just bluetooth the pics to my good phone back in the room at night.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

you can buy a local sim (they are everywhere!) the cost is not too bad and probably cheaper than global roaming which is from memory at least $10 a day for 1gb data

Is that easy given i currently using 2 x e-sim, one sim for work, one for personal

Is it just a matter of putting the bali physical sim in the phone and then changing a phone setting. Then when back in SA take the sim out and rechange the setting again.

In Thailand I just turn off the phone capabilities and use the free wifi that is everywhere and communicate with people using messenger. Can make phone calls through messenger if desperate.
I just assumed it would be similar in Bali but have never been there.

Just got back from Bali.

Had a great time, kids absolutely loved it. Probably didn't fall in love with the place like some others do eg we won't make it an annual trip but im sure we will go back again at some point for sure.

Kids really enjoyed the 'fun' things such as waterbom park, trans studio, zoo.
