That's huge - Big pete will get to see what an atmosphere is like at local footy. Should be an absolute cracker - I'd expect valley supporters will come down in large numbers aswell. Could potentially be a grand final match up?

Given he plays for Unis I think he'll be across it BUT I get your point. He'd have a following of 1-2 people at an F grade Blacks game ;-)

Definitely not counting Unley out - I think between Unley, Modbury & Valleys they are the big threats!

Div 3 2024 (possibly): Henley, Flinders Park (?), Lockleys (?), SMOSH West Lakes, Seaton

Plenty of western suburbs derbies potentially. Hopefully Flinders Park up in Div 2.

Don't count out Unley for a GF birth

Definitely not counting Unley out - I think between Unley, Modbury & Valleys they are the big threats!

I’ve seen the top 3 play in the last few weeks.
Modbury are the team to beat. Very good midfield and quality up forward and they play their ground really well. In one way out the other. They have some big bodies but they move the footy quickly. Very good depth so I can’t see them lose 2 games at home and not go up to div 2

Unley saw them first hand yesterday. Jumped out of the blocks had 5 goals on board before Seaton had blinked. Any side with a 6’8 ruckman is dangerous. Sutcliffe up forward as good a fwd in the comp. Small ground makes it very easy for Unley to score with Miller so dominant in the ruck. They get good spread from their half backs and launch it deep inside 50 to Sutcliffe when they are going down the hill. They also will hit the footy forward at all costs just to keep the ball moving forward.

Flinders Park I was really impressed with and their ball movement I think is the best in the comp IF they are on. Their half backs and wings back themselves that they will turn it over and they then sling shot it with a quick switch then they are off and running. They aren’t a big side and Sterne their ruckman doesn’t jump at stoppages but they will read it off the oppo ruckman and then they are off. If you can take away their ability to switch the footy u can beat them. The one thing that Flinders Park can do to upset Unley is use theirs wings as Unley allowed Seaton to use their wings. Unley don’t want to go wide so if you can get the footy wide u can open them up.

In saying that after seeing Unley at their best it will be a Modbury v Unley GF. Flinders Park to fall short again in their pursuit of Div 2 footy.

U would hope Unley water their centre square as it is going to get harder and become dangerous. It was already hard yesterday and the crust on top of it will do injuries to ankles and not to mention concussion

Hope Valley FC

A grade: Hope Valley Vs Pembroke
B grade: Flinders Park Vs Scotch
C grade: Seaton Vs Pembroke

Unley FC

A grade: Unley Vs Flinders Park
B grade: Unley Vs Pembroke
C grade: Unley Vs Scotch

Big day for Unley.

Hope Valley & Pembroke will be a cracker - Pembroke seem to have the wood over Hope Valley past few years but leaning towards Hope Valley this saturday with the home ground advantage.

They played at HV last Saturday
As you said, these games have been crackers for the past couple of years
Could go either away with good players on both sides - amazing talent in D3 these days
Another noticeable thing is Modbury, Unley & Pembroke have 3 sides in finals, FP & Scotch have 2 but HV only have the A Grade with the other 2 grades in the bottom 2.

Not only do these a**holes appear to live in our heads rent free, they've build a f****ing apartment block. :?

I just don't get it.

We were on top of them for 3 quarters and still couldn't finish them off.

Everything to play for is a great motivator
Plus Pembroke have some very experienced players that can turn it on when they want
Having said that, I expect HV to win this week

The positive out of this though, is that we only ever appear to beat them in semi finals, so I'm still picking us this week

You are incorrect and Pembrokes little tit-for-tat and mind games might've just backfired on them...
