You realise the SFL is only one division these days, yes? No way would Ironbank be a better side than the current top 5...

Absolutely they would, they would be very similar to Morphies and HV

In other words, miles off winning anything in the SFL.

Valleys make the top 5 purely because the teams below them are absolute rubbish, but MV with Biemans, that's a different prospect all together. Pushed the cashed up Reynella team last year

Never said they would win a flag, thats another level, but absolutely would compete well with the bottom half of the finals participants.

Morphies are surprisingly good, on their day, HV not so much

Top 3 would be competitive in HFL Div 1 but it drops off very quickly

Looks like they've gone Facebook official with their intentions for 2024

Bright side would be that it gets rid of the bye in the SFL

Good luck to them. Some advice though is market themselves as Ironbank/CherryGardens/Coromandel Valley.

Wondering where the annual Blackwood to SFL rumours have gone. If they do go I can see the HFL dropping to 1 division with some mergers

If Ironbank take the vacancy, then too bad, they had their chance

Blackwood don’t want to I assume because of the difference in competitions. Blackwood aren’t a cellar dwellar and won’t be outside the 5 in Div 1 for long.

Spot on, Ironbank see it as a good fit where they will be competitive.

From what Ive seen Blackwood are very set in the HFL.

Plus it would be less travel for Ironbank yeah? If they remain in the HFL they'll have to go to Country Div I would say and those trips to the northern clubs would be pretty long.
Only thing I remember is that someone said most of the juniors this year were from the Bridgewater side of the joint venture (not sure how accurate that is).
Would be sad to see them go as they've only just updated the changerooms finally  but good luck to them.

Yeah, really hope Bridgewater can get senior sides up & running. Squizzy works so hard for that club

Went and watched the womens Grand Final on the weekend betweer Blackwood and Mounty Lofty.

Blackwood won easily but a good day out none the less, standard was real good with a bunch of SANFLW girls playing in both sides i believe. Still not sure the qualification rules across the board for SANFLW players dropping back to local league is spot on as yet but it will get there.

yep would be much closer for them than Kersbrook/Birdwood/TV/Gum trips which take forever from the southern hills

Nairne easily in both grades and Onka's in a close one in the A's and Blackwood easily in the B's.

Seen both Uri's and Lofty in the B grade over the last 2 weeks where Echunga beat them both.

Your thoughts?

I think Nairne in both grades in closer games.
Onkas by 4 goals in the A grade
Blackwood by 5+ goals in the rezzies
So agree!
