They're flogging a dead horse.
Noone was ever going to top Angry Anderson in the Batmobile although Meatloaf came close in 2011.
They set the standards too high too early.

Rolf Harris and his wobbleboard would've put on a great show.

All BS aside I’d rather see an Aussie band get the gig and the money saved go back into grassroots footy, massive waste of money for 4 songs.

It’s a sellout regardless and no one extra is going to view the entire game for 20 minutes of entertainment spread out over 3 hours in 3 short stints.

I read 'Aussie band' in your post and immediately wondered if Grinspoon had been asked to play at the GF, could of potentially be a good promotion for them given they're soon releasing two of their albums on vinyl (Easy and New Detention) and have a national tour coming up.

KISS is a horrible choice IMO.

Unless its a top class overseas outfit at the top of their game (i.e. The Killers) then stick to Aussie acts - even if you have 3-4 bands play a couple of songs each.

Personally Id love to see The Smith Street Band get a gig, they have a number of songs about footy.
