Booked in the comp tomorrow at Glenelg 11.57am but weather doesn’t look good. Want to play tomorrow as a practice for a golf day at Glenelg Friday.

Super keen, hope the weather gods smile on me and not piss down on me!

People are soft these days, some of my favourite days on the course have been shocking weather conditions, its great fun hitting back in the stance 5 irons from 90m out!

Have a great day and hope the weather holds off. Course was coming good when I played Wednesday, hope yesterday didn't do a number on it.

Flaggy this morning for Par.
Just couldn't get much going for a -7.
Ended up trying Driver off the deck on 12th and surprisingly creamed it..

38 points at Glenelg Friday.

Actually played well in pretty tough conditions.

Won closet to pin on 14, but more importantly left blind drunk from the windmill hotel.

Only just now feeling normal again.

Just out of curiosity, when I played Stroke monthly medal at Vines they told me once you are 3 over your handicap you just pick up. Help keeps the game moving.
I've noticed when I played at flaggy sometimes the real score and adjusted gross are different, all the blow-outs are adjusted back to a 3 over
So golflink reverts everything back to stableford.

Has anyone else experienced this or knew about the change??

Just seems strange, almost making stroke obsolete.

That would be a local rule (3 over pick up). Don't mind it especially for the lower grades, might stop the 5 hour medal rounds if we did it.

All handicapping is done via stableford or Par scoring, its part of the world rules, point 5. https://www.golf.org.au/whs/

Thanks.
I only remember the change to Max strokes per hole 10 a few years back.
But I actually don't mind this. But it does make Stroke rounds somewhat obsolete.

See Wallaroo are changing their scrapes to Greens, never played there however have noticed they always keep their fairways in good nick during summer. Another option on the Copper Coast which is welcome

Flaggy on a glorious morning

Played fairly solidly.
Turned in 14pts.
The 16th is now back to a par 4 and had a 1 putt par.
Used the baffler more than normal off the tee just to try and get it working again. For the most part it was sound.
Lady Bay tomorrow.
32pts with 4 scrubs

49 last night on the front 9 at the Vines, classic round of some highs and lows, finishing with an 8 on the 9th which wrecked a decent round. Driver went pretty well, highlight being 90m from green on the 8th, closest Ive ever been before is 135m so can see some good upside once I get it dialled in. 2 iron performed very well from under trees when needed, been a very handy addition to the bag for those low punch shots

2iron... [emoji15]

That's a good whack on the 8th. I'm normally happy to be just inside the 150m. And then a nice 8i down the hill
