Where did it all go wrong last night, Booney?
Was it player selections? Taking too many injured players into the game? Or just not good enough?
Or a combination of all 3?

When you guys tore us a new one for mine. It exposed the cracks and dented the confidence.

At the start of the season I would’ve laughed if someone suggested we’d be top 4 heading into the finals, we over achieved, our best and worst performances are worlds apart.

Coniglio was everywhere last night.
I didn't see anyone put any attention into him at all.
Ports midfield just struggled to get their hands on it.
At one stage I thought Wines had been subbed off.
Aalir dropped some contested marks he'd normally take.
And kicked points from gettable areas.

GWS were very good but can't see them beating the pies next week.
Their big bloke looked very sore late in the game and that could be the difference.

I so want to play Carlton in a gf but can't see Brisbane losing.
Skills and execution wise, these finals have been ordinary so far imo.

JK wrote:I reckon Ports got banged up at the wrong time of year, it interrupted their form and they haven’t been able to get back to near their best. I’ll leave the coaching calls to others, but their list holes are the biggest problem imho. If they could add a May and Lever as the Dee’s did it would make such a difference. GWS have some fantastic onballers, but so do Port and they should never get monstered as they did in the 1st half last night, in the 2nd quarter it felt like the 21’ Prelim all over again.

Always astute poster JK, with no agenda, like.

Is it a set thing or is there any rhyme or reason that the Collingwood v GIants Prelim is on Friday night?
Surely it would have been fairer to have the prelims the opposite way around?

Yeah, fair.
Would make more sense to play both on the Saturday but I suppose it's all about tv ratings.

Bingo.

Gabba game should be a 2.10 or 2.30 p.m. first bounce but again, TV ratings.

Twilight is the optimum time in Brisbane. Hopefully a little cooler and still allows Carlton players to be back in Melbourne Saturday night

Play the G Prelim Sat arvo and Brisbane game at night.
Mind you it's 2 degrees cooler in Brisbane than Adelaide today.
