Tom Leahy, the prince of ruckmen, coached Norwood for 3 years for 2 flags and a runner up.

"Comprehensive"

The job will be Jacobs’ first major coaching gig.

He was player-coach of his hometown club Ardrossan in 2021 and last year was Adelaide SANFL coach Michael Godden’s assistant and midfield mentor.

New Eagles chief executive David Couzner said Jacobs was the standout among a host of “exceptional’’ candidates for the coaching gig and that the club was “incredibly confident that we have chosen the right person’’.

One of the blokes who missed out coached Roxby Downs B grade.

Coaching Ardrossan, double lol.
He can still play for Flaggies, Goldsack played for Moonta this year and he’s coaching a League team.

Eagles Reserves coach Matt Knight also played enough Div 12 ressies for Lockleys to qualify for finals.

Aaron Young's retirement has now been officially announced on the NAFC website.
Obviously he had a great 2022 where he won the Magarey Medal and the R.O.Shearman award but not the NAFC Best and Fairest.

It could be one of a few. I do not know who it is or if they have signed anyone. As with Luke Bogle last year, these things can come out of left field.

I am pretty sure O'Neil will end up at Norwood.

Ely Smith looked pretty ordinary the times i saw him play, better than Riley Collier Dawkins though

Agreed - thought he was going to be a hard nut mid for us.

Sadly, due to injury and form … he was a let down.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Any Norwood fans know if Harry Boyd has committed to the Legs for the 2024 season?

Heard today he may be headed west with Nik Rohkar.

West as in SA or West as in WA.

Rohkar is going to Western Australia so you’d think Western Australia.

BP mentioned about Rohkar on the previous page

Taking a big risk on the big fella given his lack of coaching.

Sheedy had coached in the ammo’s for a number of years.
And turned out to be a very good sanfl coach so a great appointment

Sauce only has 2 years coaching in lower leagues hasn’t he?
Good luck to the big fella but eagles fan will be expecting finals again at a bare minimum.

Last year Sauce was in the SANFL crows coaching box with Godden according to sauce on channel 7 news last night after he injured his ACL

Sheedy applied to 2 SANFL clubs turned down by both 1 being the Eagles and the other might have been Sturt ( I think ) then after the Eagles coach thankfully left went to the AFL he got taken by the Eagles

And to help Sauce the Eagles named Gavin Colevile as his assistant who coached league at west Adelaide after Miken or Mikan got to sick
