Carlton in 2003 got Pick 2 from AFL, after 7 wins in 2 years, the previous 2 years they won 30 out of 44 games and made finals in both years.
In 2004 they win 10 games, yet in 2005 they get Pick 1 (Marc Murphy) and 2007 another Pick 1 (Matt Kruezer)
Thats 2 #1 picks and a pick #2 in 5 years and people are losing their minds over us getting #19 & #20????
2009 Melbourne got #1 by having a better period than we have had.
I could go on

Apologies, that came off wrong. Was more thinking the TV stations now needing to fill in time instead of working out who will win.
Really sorry Wedgie, I really didn’t mean to offend

Fair call, I was concerned when the referendum was first proposed it would create more divisiveness as it was never a chance to get up.
Any referendum needs bipartisan support and it was arrogant of the Albanese government to not ensure that was shored up first before proceeding.
