Bit of a nudge and wink between Dodoro and SOS for the compo deal the Saints got for Gresham ;)

Don't reckon this has been signed off yet, AFL reviewing.
Been signed off on I believe but they can’t officially announce it until after 3pm tomorrow.

Given Adelaide have Rachele and Rankine would they need another small forward / potential midfielder type. Reckon they would have more pressing areas to distribute salary cap space.

Would be interesting to know what wage demands Ginnivan has. Has had the well document behavioral issues but has the potential to be a B+ / A Grader in the future. The big plus is his marketability, get Ginnivan and you pretty much capture every 12-15 year old girl in the country, .

His social media reach is crazy. 122k followers on instagram, compared to say Tex Walker 119k, Josh Rachele 34k as examples.

One of the few players that I think would actually like the “fishbowl “ environment as he enjoys attention.

Hoping Rachelle, Pedler and Rankine will get more mid time which creates a spot in the forwards for him and therefore less Ned/Murphy.

Must have plenty of cap space available if they could bring in Petty or Oliver

Bullshit it's not him, I've got the video i even googled 'Dan McStay Girlfriend' and it's most definitely her.

Story goes, McStay is the one who told the club and supplied the video of Ginni snorting coke. Ginni says 'F@#k You' gets his hands of the video of McStay and his Mrs in the cubicle and spreads it far and wide,

No idea if these claims are true, but one thing i certainly know is true is, in the Video that is 100% McStay and his Mrs.

Take that as you will.

Good shout.

I reckon its one of those where a club may get him from Collingwood for unders given his behavioral issues. BUT on the flip side may have to pay higher wages than his football ability justifies due to his marketability, 'potential' and the fact he is now a premiership player.

trading on that no absolutely not........

But no doubt a players marketability and reach would absolutely have some impact on a players wages amongst a host of other factors. (primarily his ability)

Completley different situations but there was only one reason GWS & GC were paying Folau and Hunt the $$$$$ they were. It's not anything new.

Would be talent/behaviour standards

Obviously that is the primary consideration.....but your kidding if you don't think in this day and age wages take into account marketability, just like you would think a player from Victoria is able to squeeze out some extra $$$ from a SA club to stay living interstate to try and deter the go home factor.

Look at the Soccer world. Obviously, no salary cap but if a player can sell a million shirts with his name on the back, he is definitely going to get an increased wage to play at the club.

Soldo is done.
Pick 41 and F2 to Richmond
Swap of later picks in the mix aswell.

Zerk will get done IMO.
Essendon have been pretty active in trying to get some pick swaps done and I think it will end up Zerk plus 35 for Duursma.
Geelong will cave in on Ratugolea last minute so all deals will get done IMO

@booney if you get the 4 in, none of which are A Graders, are you ok with having basically zero picks in the next two drafts?

In essence we're replacing Jonas with Zerk Thatcher ( 25 ), Lycett with Soldo ( 27 ) and Hayes with Sweet, an experiment in back up here as Hayes has not reached any heights.

Yes, and no. As listed in the Port thread :

Wines 28
Rioli, DBJ, Finlayson 27
Burton 26
Houston, SPP 25
Drew, Marshall, Farrell 24
Rozee 23
Butters 22
Georgiades Williams, Bergman, Lord, Jones 21
Visentini, Sinn 20
JHF, Burgoyne 19

21 of the list that are 28 or under are in or amongst our best 22. The group in bold should see us well served for the next 5-8 years.

From a development point of view we've got a lot invested in Tom Scully ( 19 - Key forward ), Tom McCallum ( 19 ) and Kyle Marshall ( 19 - both key defenders ).

This year we've given pick 15 to North as part of the JHF deal, given the draft isn't deep that one most would agree is a pick well spent.

Next years draft is the one that we probably need to trade back into or, as we have for some time, pick the 22-25 year olds we need to keep the list turning over and bring them in. We never have trouble bringing players in.

Mind you, matters little until we get a new coach.
