Units unstoppable, Woodward taking the piss.. Gardens not far behind probably on even keel with Dublin - although rumours growing the Sharks have picked up a couple more players to strengthen their squad.

Enfield into the 4 barely clear of Union, NEK and Vista. Pirates not far behind that group, and Hazara only a couple points further back than that. Pretty even middle of the table from 3 to 9 should make for some interesting matches over the season.

Pirates were a good bunch Saturday, relaxed, social game of cricket - Enfield made a mess of a simple run chase, but meh a win is a win.. and the Earwigs remain undefeated with Bedge in the side.

This week will be interesting - Pirates vs NEK looks good, but obviously Units vs Gardens the match of the round. Parafield have the firepower with the bat to match Woody and the Units.

Vista will be keen for a win over the bottom placed Warriors - but get Hodson cheap and it could be an upset win to the Warriors.

Absolute Legends.

But did they have a fielding circle?

Lol they did not, however, there is no need due to directions from PDCA. So play on.
The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

Three games in, starting to get a feel for it. North Pines sadly in for a long season - looked a chance against ATCO before totally capitulating. Fair play to the 'backs though, they took the jump up to G1 to fill the void.

Eyre Royals sitting pretty on top, but will be tested in coming weeks - Westies this week should give an indication on where they're at. You'd expect SW to begin to make their move, whilst Virginia could put a serious dampener on Craigmore's season hopes this upcoming round.

Eastern Park in 2nd with 2 wins, not overly convincing, but their match this week with ATCO could really be a pivotal factor on whether they play finals or not. A loss would have them back with the pack, a win would keep them ahead of the curve.

Virginia v Westies GF for me.

Pretty fair analysis, Virginia done well without Bascombe.

Angle Vale could’ve been out for a lot less, a massive edge on the first ball of day two wasn’t given and Andy Carman was absolutely plumb in front on his first ball but was let off, it did make for an entertaining finish though with 6 runs required and 3 wickets in hand with two set batters when the opening bowlers came back on and cleaned up.

Angle Vale are still a great bunch and it’s always great to see the First Lady of the PDCA, Mrs P.

Elaine is the Queen of the comp, I’ve had to do the scoring with Jane Pogas many times over the years and she just never has a bad word to say about anyone, always an enjoyable afternoon.

Was a tongue in cheek comment, both are great value and the PDCA is extremely lucky to have had them involved over many years for the long journey.

Will always respect Elaine in particular for her work in promoting the womens game. Absolute trailblazer in the womens game.

Yeah, Elaine’s a legend, I used to work closely with her when the women’s comp was in its infancy, we used to organise association games against the Jets and her zest for promoting women’s cricket for all ages and abilities is nothing short of brilliant, hence the accolades that she has been awarded along the journey.

Find it hard to agree about the LO1 call with units being unstoppable, have watched a few games of both units and Dublin this year and Dublin look the much more classy side especially when all 3 of their strike bowlers play. Will make for an interesting finals series

Thoughts on Grand Finals.. should they be at the highest ranked teams ground, or would neutral grounds make it more interesting?

Highest ranked.

Was once neutral but there were often issues caused by the hosting club.

Probably should say Woody is unstoppable. Had gastro when he played us and still smashed us around the park.

Would be interesting to see how they would go without him in the team but they still have a decent batting order. Dublin look good too but haven't played them enough to know what they're like.

The test will be this week then. No Woody or Fenwick verses the Gardens.

Pretty weird day at Argana, Craigmore were going along nicely then lost 5/3 I think to be bundled out for 196, Eid Muhammad scored his 2nd consecutive hundred and it was something different seeing Ali sweeping Nato at pace.

Westies were struggling a bit early but in usual fashion they find a way to post a decent score (259), Eastern Park managed 209 with ATCO 0/14 in reply and Angle Vale are 5/75 chasing North Pines' 94.

In other news, Craigmore C's were bowled out for 8 against Adelaide Warriors in LO3.

Top 4 in LO1 is a lock. I'd like to think Enfield would be around the mark, but we are far too inconsistent. Dropped Rahimi 6 times on Saturday on his way to 73 was the difference. Dropped on 0, 7, 13, 15, 25, 50. Rode his luck, made us pay.

Haider isn't a bad bat. Patient, played straight. Looked alright.

From what I've seen of this div, it's pretty average. The depth of batting in teams is not great. The bottom 6 teams are pretty even, any team can win on their day - especially given the one day format, only need one bloke to fire and it can be the difference.

Devastated I won't be able to play this weekend though, was looking forward to feasting out on Knapp's medium straight snot.

A draw in Grade 1 geez louise, when was the last time that happened?!

Eyre v ATCO shaping as a really critical game this week, along with Eastern Park v Angle Vale.. the last spot in the 4 could come down to who wins out of ER / ATCO.

Note the ladder isn't up to date with Westies forfeit result, so they should be around the 46pt mark, means there is stuff all between EP, ER and ATCO.

One Day game this week, might be NP chance to break their duck against a Craigmore side that fell in a massive heap last week. Having said that, Akram is likely to play and fill his boots and Reza to continue his good form.

The last tie in grade 1 (18th in total) was 13 seasons ago. Most memorable was 2005/06 when Salisbury West and Rose & Crown tied the grand final.

Hasn't Akram still got 5 weeks of his compulsory holiday to go?
