Let’s hope this one doesn’t go to Victoria.

Yes we lost Hookesy and Boof to Victoria
But we did keep Clem Hill and The Trav so far

I agree mally. I think this was our best World Cup win. 1987 was pretty good but I don't think any of the teams in that particular world cup were of the standard of this current Indian team. While they under performed last night there just isn't a weak link. A remarkable performance. It was so good to see us master Jadeja, just once. He has been our nemesis for years.

The batting will improve especially if the decks are flatter
Unfortunately too many players are either close to or too old - or out of form

AU to recover and finish 6th with or without Matthew Wade

But
No Trav no Oz ....

Indeed, my Indian cuz is devastated.

Surely you could see the tongue in cheek nature of that post. I should have put more emojis in.

However Inglis did have a very good final for what he was required to do. In fairness to me if he had dropped a catch or made a duck i would have (rightfully) worn it on here so surely i can give a bit of tongue in cheek back when he does something well in a final.

LOL I write very slowly

If you standing too far back so you cant take the half chances because they bounce in front of you, it's still a missed chance.

He would have had to be standing up to the stumps to take that one.

Perfect game from the keeper what a World Cup HERO!!!

I had this same thought. I have never known him to have so little impact in any game against us.

Dipping the lid to Cummins captaincy. the intensity and thought that went into every bowling change and fielding placement was exemplary. Every time an Indian got a shot away there was a boundary rider in place (except in Sharmas opening blast and kohlis consecutive 4s). Highlighted with the positining of the wide third man cutting off Suryakumars ramp over the keeper.

Pretty well a fautless display by the Aussies across the board.

Bowling was spot on and possibly the best spell from Cummins all tournament, thought his captaincy was on song as well

Fielding has improved out of sight in the last few games, led by Warner and Marnus, Trav and Zampa doing their bit on the boundary

Was very nervy when Smith went, thought we may be in trouble, forgot how well Trav bats in big games, and Marnus showed why he should have never been considered being out of that side, was the perfect man to be batting with Trav

Great perfomance by the Aussies, saved their absolute best till last

Hopefully they have left that State and are at a venue that they can soak themselves in beer and enjoy the moment

The Trav and Angelo Matthews will emerge as quite possibly the 2 most notable players from this 2023 World Cup.

I saw a better one on the cricket.com.au Instagram on a post about Kohli's dismissal last night and it came with some classic replies.

So, Head couldn't play in India? I wonder who was involved in that decision before the first Test earlier this year still regret leaving Head out? Or are they so up themselves they don't care because they can, uh, Pat themselves on the back because they left him in the squad this time?
