44 for 19 points tonight on the front 9, pretty happy as I started with 2 double bogeys, then got things back under control, birdie putts on 6 and 7 the highlights, missed them both but rapt I gave myself a chance.

Flaggy
Haven't really touched a club since last round and expectations weren't high. Just hoping my shoulder held out. Got off to a poor start when I left th4 inner soles to my shoes at home....

Started on 10th and hit a horrid slice into trees on the right. Scrambled out for a point.
11th then pulled it left into trees. The cam Smith 2 way miss.
Glorious 7i on on par 3 13th in an early ntp position. Sunk the 12ft birdie putt.
Putting was fairly solid.
Front 9 ended with 20pts.

Out onto the back 9,
Couple of unforced errors but still got out with 19pts.
39 overall

Played flaggy Sunday
Started off ok with 18pts front

Then 2 pars for 5pts.
Par 4 12th hit a 5w really well, but direction was left of bunkers into rubbish. Nowhere for an unplayable, didn't have a chainsaw like the bloke on Hong Kong. Wipe.
And from there it deteriorated, just lost interest
Finished 29pts

Played Thaxted today with my boys, hit 92 off the stick for 35 points which I think is my best around there, not a course Ive played well at in the past,

I had 4 very poor holes all triple bogeys and one double, played the other 13 holes 6 over - had good birdie looks on 4,6,13,14,15 & 17 and missed them all but did roll in a few nice ones to save par/bogey. Driver was pretty poor, only hitting 4 fairways.

Vines Friday night

Twilight
Shoulder slight niggle.

Back 9

Pushed it into trees on right. Recovered to bogey.
Then went par, par, par and then the par 3 14th 3 putted, green is like an upside down saucer ffs
Then a massive block into trees on 15
Good drive on 16 but again bogey
17th, slight hook, couldn't be bothered so took a wipe.
On the 18th used the 4i and copped some grief for it. Funnily enough despite him taking driver we both had par and just reminded him there are more than one way to skin a cat  but he did have 22pts with a wipe so got me overall. A few of the other lads enjoyed the banter
If you can't do that on the course you shouldn't be out there

Monthly medal Flaggy
On the 10th.

Cracking drive. Handy enough 2nd shot. 3rd shot a little 8i runner that went through the back. Ended with 6.
Then doubled the 12th
Triple on par 3 13th after being in bunker and hitting it flush over the green
From there it didn't get much better. A 9 on the 18th, just tried to hit it too hard with Driver with the tail breeze and it went 40m. Then the 5w went straight right  51.

Then onto back 9 and it was just more rubbish.
48 on back 9 to just break the 100

Lot better day than last years 5+ hour round. Field wasn't as full as normal, $135 will do that. Got around in about 4.5. Seeing a 5 on the daily h/cap (GA is 6) was a shock but with the 10th hole out and short tee boxes on 11 and 13 it made sense. Weather was great. One day I'll put a round together there. 11 point front with 3 scrubs in 4 holes, came back in with a 22 for 33, stupid game.

Flaggy yesterday.
We were about 4th group away but already 5mins behind.
Followed 3 guys who were all over the place and were definitely in no hurry to keep up.
4hrs 50 for a Sunday stableford
Needless to say lost interest in the golf after about 4 holes

Twilight

Horrid, humid conditions.

Changed the driver loft from 12 down to 9.5....
First hole, the first swing was the practice swing and pulled it left. Hacked out for bogey.
Went along ok.
Then the 7th, pulled the 7i, standing over it always felt it was 50-50.
Great contact, right club, but It started a fraction too far right and had no draw, hit bank and wet... took the wipe.
Finished off with 2 pars

16pts

Flaggy

Woke up
Studied the bom with Skippy on the TV. Radar didn't show a lot.
Downpour upon arriving.
Lots of people scared off with the forecast.
4.5hrs out there, rained for 4hrs. Stretch of 6 or so holes it was quite heavy.
But I loved it. Apart from the bag being soaked and not a dry glove in the bag after 9.

17 on front 9
Back 9 was a little more sketchy. Gave away points on the last out of frustration.
30pts for the day is handy enough in the weather
