From wake up to walk out the door, 30 minutes. Cannot deviate from that routine.

I think I have an OCD problem to be fair

You both have OCD.
I roll out of bed, scratch me nuts, make a coffee and log onto my computer.
Then I jump on SAFooty and pretend to be working until the wife leaves for work.

 don't get me wrong, when I WFH during the week, the routine is completely, out the window.
It changes too checking the calendar before I go to bed, set the alarm for 10 minutes prior to my first meeting, and skip breakfast, shower, dressed and go straight to the laptop.

I’m WFH full time these days and I have definitely changed as well as I was routine based like you guys as you had to be if working in the office.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

If and when they’re caught, wait for the cry me a river sob stories about how they ended up being like this because of their alleged shite upbringing, because that’s more important than the crimes they’ve committed or the impact to the victims.

Edit … and now it’s a murder investigation.

Would seem that people other than "the gang" have been charged which might cause some reflection in respect of the above posts.

Disagree. Violent murder is far more contemptuous than theft and the appropriate response waxes and wanes accordingly. By all means shoot anyone convicted of a murder. Hell of an escalation to shoot some kids who on the face of it appear to have tried to open a locked gate and then jumped a fence that would not be in line with community expectations.

I dont condone shooting them, but more needs to be done with this type of crime regardless especially when you class it as "that would not be in line with community expectations."

Like our health system our penal system is overwhelmed and ask anyone in either they'll tell you there's one fix that will help, more support for people suffering mental health issues. Both systems could be dramatically improved if mental health support was increased then we'd have space to put these people away for longer as they should be.

We’ve tried that, didn’t work which is why the High Court allowed 94 people go free.

Their country of origin wouldn’t accept them back.

hence why I said 'if appropriate'. I had no idea where they originated from but I think in situations like this, if someone was found guilty of murder, then that should be an option available to us.

It is - non-Australian citizens who are released from gaol after serving time for serious offences routinely have their visa cancelled on character grounds upon their release, and then are generally deported to their country of citizenship (assuming they have one - the problem as referred to above is when they are stateless or where there is a dispute over their status in their country 'of origin', e.g. in the case of asylum seekers).

The vast majority of people released from gaol after doing time for murder etc. are Australian citizens. Most that aren't are deported - you could fill 747s full of the Kiwis that Australia deports. The criminals that the High Court judgment related to are a tiny % of serious criminals. While I agree wholeheartedly that these people should be deported, often it's not clear which country can or should take them, and there are a range of practical and diplomatic considerations.

Of couse, if there were a simple solution, the government would have gone down that path decades ago.

Things that give me the shits today

1. The wind - I haven't been able to put the penguins out since the rain started - and now that it's stopped, it's blowing a gale. :?
2. Unwrapping a Golden Gaytime, only for half the crumbs to fall on the floor before I had a chance to take a bite.

Can attest to this. My wife's "general" ward is overwhelmed with mental health patients. They are often violent and often need full time security guards on them.
