Three weeks on from my post about lack of fruit set on the tomatoes and I now have plenty. None ripe or even close which will mean that for the second time in my life I will not have ripe tomatoes by Christmas Day.

I don't think I have ever had this many beans and I am picking the first cucumbers.

Feels very weird to have not watered for two weeks.

Good thing I'm not a keen gardener, as we have something of a rabbit plague up here in the hills.
They are eating everything - even softer bits off the rose bushes I've planted.

And of course the birds are eating everything off the plum and apple trees in the back yard as they start to ripen. I'm just letting them do so as I can't be bothered putting nets over them. The previous owners of our place were obviously into growing the fruit.

Same, had a lazy Sunday yesterday and tied the tomatoes off and in doing so counted 28 clusters of 10 flowers / fruit on the cherry bush. I reckon 12-15 of those clusters are full and look about 10-14 days away from being ready. Going to have a bumper crop early in the new year.

The big reds I counted over 50 flowers before I gave up.

Good to hear.

My beans have been the best ever. Cucumbers have pretty much finished from the first lot (powdery mildew) so have put another lot in. Think I will put one more lot of beans in.

I planted my basil this year in too much shade and it has been disappointing. Lesson learnt.

Roasted some sweet potato, potato, pumpkin and zucchini in salt, pepper and olive oil. Added some home grown cherry tomatoes at the end for 15 minutes. Took it all out the oven and stirred through baby spinach. The tomatoes were delicious and made the dish.

The salmon with a glaze of garlic, ginger, soy, brown sugar and a splash of vinegar went perfectly with it.
