As an employer it’s a difficult situation as if anything happens even on the way home we are liable

Two drink limit means you’d more than likely be under the limit

Is that a myth or true about the employer being liable?
Why would it matter who pays for the alcohol?

True. If it’s an organised work event work is liable.

But what if you are still at the work organised event but purchase alcohol yourself?
How is that any different?*

And i forgot they ran a free raffle, there wouldve been 60 people all with one ticket. There was roughly 50 prizes, mainly bottles of wine, some pretty decent stuff amongst it. Of course i was one of the 10 who didnt get a prize, i thought that was pretty average of the company.

We were not allowed to purchase extra drinks. i did manage to sneak in another 2 as guy next to me didnt drink, we had two tokens each. Our end of vintage show back in July was a free for all but the company supplied a bus for that. I believe the policy has changed since then and they wont do that anymore either.

It may have also have to do with the EB agreement that is being negotiated atm. We currently have a CPI clause where we get CPI % increase if its more than the agreed % increase. The company wants to remove that, We are not budging on that, once you lose that you will never get it back.
They also think we're stupid or something, their original offer was 4,4,3 over the next 3 years then they put up a nice shiny 5, but attached was 3,2 :D
The site isnt currently unionised but its about to be, hopefully that threat is enough to change their minds.

Went to the shops early but only needed 5 things. They were mental but in and out quickly. Before I left I asked the wife if there is anything else,”nope I’m all organized “

Just sit down and she says “I forgot this”.####! My car in the driveway first, so I go. One hour for something that normally takes 3 minutes

Thats all ok, my Mrs spoke with our eldest daughter yesterday and asked her to go and buy somethings (mainly fruits/cheeses etc) for tomorrow for a cheese platter and pavlovas etc, she then told the youngest daughter the same thing, thinking they would go shopping together but alas they didn't go together or communicate and now got double of everything

My wife had a knack of always needing to stop in at a shop or 2 to get something on our way home from somewhere. Her record was 5 stops on the way home from the gym one time.

The reason I said HAD a knack of doing that is because now I make her drop me home first
