Kallis 12th

Gilchrist opening? Could swap him with Tendulkar.

Not real sure how Akram and Ambrose didn’t get a mention.

Stokes is a poor man’s Kallis, he can turn it on but Kallis was as consistent as they come.

Agree about Stokes!
I’d have Imran Khan and Kapil Dev before Stokes.

Stokes in front of Kallis should have him put in the retirement home.

Kallis is arguably the greatest all-rounder of all time. In saying that you could pick him on his batting alone.

So would I at this stage of his career, perhaps by the end of it he might eclipse them.

Might be time for Carey to step up today :D

someone has to ;)

Won't be Carey, he is shot as a Test batsman. One more wicket in next 30 minutes and we won't get beyond 200 run lead.
Two wickets to cracking balls. Two wickets to appalling shots by guys who showed no appreciation of the game situation, and no respect for the opposition.

My opinion only
Your team is better than MAxwelLs

Everyone is saying Kallis is better than Stokes , I agree
Stokes is not even the best allrounder for his country in the 50 years
Ian Beefy Chappelli Hater Terrence Botham I think is better than Stokes
Stokes slightly better batsman, but nowhere near Botham as a bowler

Was going to say the same thing - very rare you lose a Test because of your 1st slip - but he just about has cost them the game

Even when he caught them he looked so unsure, has to be someone in the team better!

You could make a case his not even their best all rounder in the last 15 years.

Good side but I'd find room for Richie Benaud.

For balance it probably does need a spinning allrounder.

I meant an “all-rounder” XI.

Pretty happy with your list though, I’d probably go Sangakarra and Akram for Gordon & Waqar but there is no wrong or right opinions
