Pakistan are right in this, another 40 or 50 and it will be a very uncomfortable chase.
I’m sure continuing to bang it in short to the tail will work eventually FFS

Gaz conjures up the old leg slip dismissal. Rizwan gone and Davey’s last knock ain’t far away

Khwaja is an experienced cricketer and is raised in Sydney.

Yet he deems it necessary to play back to a good length ball in a spinning wearing 4th day wicket.
A similar brain explosion like that in football would see your place immediately in jeopardy.

I do not believe for a.minute that Uzzie has been focused on batting this year; he seems much more interested in promoting his global views and avoiding a pink ball. Been a long time since I have heard him discuss his batting.

I thought the opposite. The close ups in between balls he looked unusually stressed. I thought maybe he put a bit too much pressure on the last partnership with Warner.

Looked pretty plumb live and clearly Hawkeye had it clipping off stump which I don't think we can really disagree with can we?

He made the most test runs (1210) in 2023, wouldn't that suggest he was focused on his batting? He let his bat do the talking rather than talking about his batting.

Why do you have an issue with him promoting his global views?

Tend to agree regarding the first few balls, was just referring to the wicket ball, very lazy shot.

I have no issue with his views on the current global problems, nor with his views on use of pink ball in test cricket.
I also recognise his solid year. I intended to reference this season, nor this year... apologies

My issue is over this whole series he has been focused on these areas to a far greater extent than previous, and at the same time his form has dropped.
Coincidence?

Do you think that writing messages on his shoes/wearing an armband/writing an Instagram post is likely to result in a loss of form? E.g. do you think he forewent net sessions?

More to the point, what insight do you have into what Khawaja's "focus" is/was?
