PS - Her chat with Mark Howard on the Howie Games podcast is excellent, very moving.

O'Keefe is good entertainment.
To say otherwise is a poor reflection on where humanity is leading

Nah it's reflection that the commentators think we are tuned in to listen to them instead of appreciating what's on the screen

If I want to be entertained I'd watched a movie/comedy, listen to music. I don't watch sport to be entertained by an individual I cant see. I want to be entertained by those I can see exhibiting their skills.

Same goes for the footy commentators who think its aBouT them, too!

Maurie Fields wouldn't stoop as low as the frog joke on Hey Hey. O'Keefe is awful.

Call the cricket, we're not here for second rate comedy.

The best commentators are the polar opposite to O'Keefe and that's all that needs to be said.

Imo Kerry jokes arent overly funny and always outdated. His play by play commentary is average.

His knowledge of the game and his research on players leading up to the tour is the best in the game. He clearly watches as much cricket as possible and is a cricket tragic, often can correctly refer to dismissals in a previous tour between non Australian teams etc. No one in the commentary team knows the overseas players as well him. Same goes of his knowledge of how blokes have performed in the shield.

Stephen Rowe, Brian Taylor, Kerry O'Keefe. If you want to be the clown, be the clown, if you want to be the analyst, be the analyst.

Come on you would know as well as anyone they get their pay check for 'playing a role' in the team.

The only reason Kerry gets a gig is for his 'laugh', its become bigger than any words he says.

100% they do but pick one and play it. Don't try to be all things, ultimately one of them gets lost in the other. All of them are very good at analyzing the game but you can't take them seriously when they do.

I think in Kerry's case there is what he 'wants' to be and what he does best (analaytics) but he is smart enough to know they aren't going to pay some old hack for that when they can just get a modern day ex player.

I find it easy to take him serious and separate joke telling Kerry from analytic Kerry.

Outside of punter who is far and away the best we have, the others really highlight how great the team led by Richie was. And the best thing was they let the action tell the story. Today we have mark Nicholas, haydos, JL and co. who just keep jibbering

I personally don’t know how anyone watches Channel 7, the picture quality is so far below Foxtel. Blurry compared with crystal clear

I don't have any issues on 7HD on my TV for footy or cricket. I have the Foxtel app on my TV but don't use it much, mainly watch Fox Cricket or Fox Footy on my Tablet.
