Dunes last Friday, rock up and its 34 degrees which usually is OK however when it hasn't been hot since last summer the body wasnt quite ready for it, plus we were walking. Only played 9 holes as the wives dropped us off and were picking us up in 3 hours to head to Sunny Hill, take what we can get when the initial intention of the trip wasn't golf

Anyway course is in sensational nick, played first few holes into the hot Northerly and as normal start well with par, bogey, bogey and then it goes to shit  we turn to play the 5th and halfway down the fairway the sea breeze kicks in and we are now playing back into it again when we should have been playing with it! put in a 48 and 15 pts which wasn't a great outcome however apart from my driver the other parts of my game where pretty good, including some nice wedges into the wind which have been an issue lately.

Good links practice for Barnbougle which is now not far away

Went around the front 9 at West Lakes yesterday afternoon and as I'd only played the back 9 previously I enjoyed the front better, more variety and less of the same same par 4's. Par on the 6th after hitting the stick up hill into the wind the highlight and belted the drive down 5.

Haven't played since September and went 47 off the stick to not completely unhappy.

Once I've done the lessons and 3 months I'll probably just pay as I go, at $30 for 9 with a member I reckon I'll just do that as I can't really see myself committing to the money required to be a 7 day member just yet.

Flaggy this morning

Started off ok.
Greens running beautifully at the moment. Putted really well today, made a slight adjustment last week and so far rolling it consistently.
Front 9 18pts and wiped the 9th

Back 9 started ok and wheels fell off for only 12pts.

30pts

Importantly though we won the big money side game

You can take stroke and distance 2 shot penalty.
Not sure why he hit 7 off the tee, was only stableford anyway.

Be careful that's a local rule only, depends on the course and comp.
