What is the standard price of a 'city' pint these days.

The everyday price we have at our local for a XXXX, GN, West End etc is $8 but still have the old Friday Night happy hour for $5.

I dont drink too much these days so no idea how that compares.

I get pissy if it's over 10 bucks, but normally between $9 and $12.

Some places do a good Friday drinks deal, Harry's Bar has $7 pints, wine & base spirits between 4 and 6

Others in the real centre of the CBD exceeding $10.

What's the most you've spent on a drink?

Last year I had to travel to Egypt and Dubai for work, and Egypt I had a beer in the hotel lobby... $25AUD. Then in Dubai, had a single shot of 12 yr old scotch.... $40AUD. There is a reason they dont drink in those countries!

I found Sydney and Canberra the same price as us but yeah in Melbourne I was paying up to $19 for an Imp pint but it was a public holiday so they were adding surcharges.

Imperials are really what should be a pint. What we call a pint isn't a pint.
