I’d rather bring back Tubby and Langer than play either of those two duds ever again

Seriously for a sec.... this is a perfect opportunity to bring in Bancroft/Renshaw and let them open. No pressure, it's not a top line attack. Give them a few matches to get 'in' and get ready for next summer. Smith isn't a long term solution to open the batting IMO. Green and or Marsh aren't no 4's either.

Don’t disagree, but we have a chairman of selectors who has openly admitted that he only looks forward for a couple of Tests.

Bancroft has far too many flaws and will be a walking wicket in NZ. I can see the Indians making a mess of him next summer too.
I just don’t think he is up to it

That’s an incredible list, many of them I thought would have taken 10 wickets

Willis and Garner blows my mind although big Joel had a few decent bowlers around him.

Cricket Australia has effed up this summer big time. It's been building for a while. The scheduling of test matches has been ridiculous, the timing of the BBL, irrelevance of Shield cricket these days, the farcical and corrupt implementation of PlayHQ, their inability to to work with the ICC and other national cricket boards to keep test matches as the pinnacle. It's like they don't care about the Australian public.

In terms of team selection, they are picking the best 11 and fitting them in. Bancroft, Renshaw, Harris don't fit into the best 11. It's a bit worrying though that our depth seems to be a bit light on.

Armchair expert will be getting off on this one

Head Coach Andrew McDonald has confirmed that David Warner will be required to leave the UAE-based ILT20 league early as he will be selected for the upcoming T20I series' against the West Indies and New Zealand:
"Davey will be picked. He will come back from the ILT20. I think most of our players that are going over there are due back in on (February 7) in preparation for the T20 in Hobart."
The first T20I of the Australia-West Indies series is being held at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart on February 9. The squad will be finalised at a later date.
