Another one of my Nags running around today in the 4th at Balaklava #2 Fast Bubbles.

Staggers me that it's in to $4. I backed it at 9's

I'll back it, but with no confidence.

Prodigal Lad went ok, Friday. Led all the way run out out steam after working hard to cross from 15 finished 4th.

I was a bit disappointed on Friday Carey, after its first two good runs. Beaten a long way but I thought it should have run a place in that field. See if it ever draws a decent gate.

Good luck today

If anyone watched Balaklava race 3 can they tell me WTF Neindorf was doing on Spurier? Sat behind the leaders and at no point did he try to get a run, ride it out or anything.

Peppino the track and distance specialist is in today at Stony Creek R6.

Can he make it 5/5 over the Stony Creek 1600m?

Different jockey on board with the claiming apprentice (C Hollowood) so tempering my enthusiasm today but at the track and trip, this horse has shown it grows wings. $13 on offer at the moment. Think that's a value play. Also like the #1 Super Solar back in class from Mooney Valley.

Yeah, proved to be the case for Peppino after an awkward start. Ok run but probably at the end of the prep IMO.

Super Solar scores to make it a profitable race. :D

I can't charge in at the 7/4 especially given its racing pattern

That's my only query but drawn 7 of a 9-horse field. It can't get too far back compared to 15 in a 16-horse field and Johnny Allen is one of the better tacticians in the saddle.
I thought it would be jumping closer to even money.

Hasn’t been a run on track recently

I’d be watching the first few races before having a bet

I'm on.
Pretty balanced field with at least 3 other runners who prefer to settle rearward.
First run in Australia was Lakeside in December over the 1400m and made up plenty of ground from a car park draw.
2nd up lame.
3rd up runs a brilliant 2nd in a huge Saturday metro field from the car park draw again.
Today, back to midweek class, smaller field, better barrier, more ground, should be rock hard fit.
If the track is against me today, so be it. That's punting. Good luck MT!
