Goorjian has pulled out of the running for the 36ers job.

Brian Goorjian has pulled himself out of the Adelaide 36ers' head coach search, he confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday.

Talks between the 36ers and Goorjian heated up earlier in February when the two parties met about the eventual head coach vacancy, and progressed to the point of deep contract negotiations, sources said.

Also:

The expectation is that the 36ers will conduct a search for a high-level assistant coach to supplement the potential signing of Ninnis as head coach, sources said.

IMO Goorjian was never serious about coaching the 36ers under this owner and just used us to drive up his price elsewhere.

Can’t fault what he did.

Not upset. Liked him as a player, had plenty of smarts and for mine he made us play with more desire at both ends of the court.

You need the type of intensity that he has. History shows that those intense coaches have a far better record than the calm relaxed style of say Andrew Gaze.

I just hope he was the best applicant and not just the cheapest.

For me, when the pressure was applied late in the season with a final’s possibility, he/the team wilted. Harsh but those two late season smackings have just been forgotten.

Australia lead Indonesia 71-35 at three quarter time. Indonesia scored 2 for the quarter.

It should not have counted as the shooter was out of court before getting a foot back in before possession.

2 is the lowest quarter score I can recall in an International.

I forgot to mention Isaac Humphries won the 36ers team MVP award the other night.

I would've thought Vasiljevic should have won it but I suppose he's already under contract and Humphries isn't so...

He played 23/28 games, not sure that's enough games missed to worry about.

TBH I thought it was far less, I was thinking around 17-18 so you are probably right that he should have won it.

Helps that Humphries wins it if they want him to stay.
