The cheap rookie I like is Alex Sexton. Any time you get a rookie price for someone who is not a rookie get on. Especially with a new role. My view is that Sexton can't fail to make you money. Antoher one I'm keen on is Darcy Wilson of the Saints. Has that running power that Ross loves and he uses the ball well. Looks a likely starter on the wing. He's got DPP as well. Down back Blake Howes should get an extended spot in the side to cover the injured Bowey and he carded a decent score on debut for the Swans. Gibcus at 150 is a bit more expensive but Richmond are rank and the ball will be living in their backline so he looks a solid pick to me.

Most of the higher priced rookies will have pretty good JS but will take you longer to make money from. But it won't hurt your team if you have Harley Reid or Colby McKercher as they have massive ownership numbers. Ditto Caleb Wilson of Melbourne. Zane Duursma looks like he knows where the goals are so he could bob up with some decent scores even if his possession tally is low. He seems to have that ability to play tall. Curtain of the Crows should get games and has DPP but not keen on his price. For the Catters I reckon Clark is ahead popular pick Mannagh, who I reckon is a massive sub risk if selected.

Naismith on the bench or someone else? It’s a bit of a risk being a Thursday game and locking him in instead of seeing who else is in line for a run

None of the rookie rucks look like good money making options. Sweet might be the smokey a bit later on in the season. I'm going the Doctor (Livingstone) for now as West Coast play a lot of Sunday games and he will help me loophole my VC options.

Gee thanks Loch. :)

Yeah I reckon I've copped an LTI in the first match about three years running now. In a bit of bother now the Tiges. We can replace Gibcus easier than they can. They are short on talls...geddit...short on talls....nyuck nyuck nyuck. 8)

The only consolation with Gibcus going down is that most of the comp had him.

When does the price rise take affect?

Is it after this round 2 or after round 3. The round zero has thrown me off.

Price rises come in the third game that player plays. So Round zero guys who have played two matches are on the bubble. Not so Carlton and Brisbane as they have the bye.
