Mostly close games, hopefully that’s the trend for the season

Ours wasn't too close in the 3rd quarter when the Power were 47 points up, maybe they took off some of their pros?
I did hear that Sweet only played the first half as he's an emergency tomorrow.

Mind you I did giggle at this Power supporter's quote:
A team of mostly professional athletes, who’ve spent all summer training in warm conditions, “run out of gas” and get overrun by a bunch of uni students, teachers and tradies who are weekend warriors. Embarrassing.

I see Clavarino and Shillabeer have not played in either trial game. I assume they are injured, along with Skinner.
Can anyone advise who are the other main injuries at South, apparently there are a lot

Clavarino had a shoulder reconstruction and will be ready round one two ish.

Shillabeer is out for the season with a foot dislocation ( not ankle and quite an uncommon injury)

Skinner and Schroeder clashed heads on Thursday night resulting in facial stitches etc for the pair and will be ok.

Of the others, Sid Draper has shin splints and Callum McCarty has had foot surgery and will be mid season returns.

West played well, they will be better again in 2024. Clear improvement.

Good test for us. Few things to get sorted before rd 1

Looking forward to Good Friday
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Gasper and Pudney looked good,

Pudney hasn't changed, did his usual 9 iron & sand wedge shots and then chased his tail. No loss at all.

Don't eat all those sour grapes at once, they might give you a tummy ache.

Yes, and still very good at kicking it to the opposition

Good enough to be selected to play in a GF team at the Eagles... works for us!

Not one seed of sour grapes. All the supporters were glad to see him go, so the club couldn't default to him.

You'll find out how ineffective he is.

Damn, quite like Shillabeer. Energetic, attacks the footy and is a reasonable enough kick.

Why do you think you know him better than Eagle supporters, we've watched him play reserves and league for quite a few years now. Would have seen him play lot more matches than you I would suggest.

It’s the SANFL’s fault. The rules are stacked against them…..

Yes, and he was the weakest link. Couldn’t make the Eagles league side in 2022 and rumours were he was going to join North. Got another chance in 2023, did his ankle in round 4 ending his season. Will always be an Eagles Premiership Player.

I've seen him play since early junior days. Will rack it up, but with bugger all damage. Supercoach/Dreamteam delight.
