Does anyone still drink at their local pub?
And if so how often?
I haven’t been to my local for 2-3 years now due to being time poor and also cost of beers these days.

Wednesday night 8 ball around the Port pubs and home every other week. ( Had a moment last night, broke in our doubles game and potted out. Haven't done that for years. )

Thursday after work I pop into the Woodshed for a couple on the way home, usually meet Mrs Boon there when she finishes.

Friday might have 1 or 2 at the Alberton after work.

Saturday 4 of us get together from 12:30 until 2pm, have two or three and some bloke time to have a yarn and a punt.

So, yeah.

I only go during happy hours or when I can use my free pint tickets when you enter your footy tips. I refuse to pay $9+ for a pint.
I still pop in 2-3 times a week, up until a few months ago (work change) I’d go most nights for 2 or 3.

My ability to do so is having 27 and 23 year old children and a wife who doesn't get upset if I pop in for an hour here and there, I'm not time poor with commitments with junior sport as I once was.

Saturday really is a great hour or so, check in with a couple of mates how their week was and how they're going, it's an open honest chat that I reckon is good for us all.

Yeah agree, my hour or so debrief is heading to the Adelaide hills (Belair, Cleland, Shepherds Hill etc) with a mate and going for a run on the trails, and solving the worlds problems and our own. We do that 3-4 times a week. I guess that's my equivilent without the beer although on occasion one of us breaks out a couple after the run

 you are right about one part, no pub mates to drink with. We are all like minded, some of us have younger (3 under 7 at 50! ouch) and mid aged (14-19) kids, and no inclination to overspend at the pub when we catch up at our houses (we all live close) and crack a beer, have a swim, talk shit, watch some footy etc.

Been going to the local sports club more often than any pub these days. Typically after work on irregular Fridays, meeting up with 2 or 3 other likeminded fellows for brews and bullshit.

I go probably 2 out of 3 Saturdays in Spring/Summer, sets me up nicely for an assault on some late night dim sims and ridiculous posting

Same goes for Thursday Night in Spring/Summer but at the Bowls/Footy club
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

Not as much as I used to.
Usually the wife has to drag me there as I get bored at the pub plus I have a great setup in my mancave much to the wife's chagrin. Nothing to do with prices in fact I try to avoid Happy Hours. (Mind you it does help my savings as I'm planning a 2 month trip to the US)

We usually go for a meal and quiz night every Thursday night at the Halfway (theyre changing to once a month soon so that will change) and out for a meal and a band every 2nd Friday at the Excelsior. Plus other pubs when bands are on.
On top of that maybe once a week at the Hope to put in tips but didn't go once last weekend.
The wife has today and tomorrow off so might have a couple of counter meals.

Depends mainly on bands for me, for eg tonight I'll be at the Casino for a band and at the Walkers Arms after the footy tomorrow night for another band and mates catchup but will probably spend the rest of the weekend at home or watching the son play footy.

Friday night at the golf club for 9 holes and then beers for me with mates. Hardly ever head to the pub unless its for a feed.

Got some mates who have excellent backyard shed/deck set ups to watch sport so that where most drinking gets done.

Yeah couple of times a week but we dont have much else to do in our town

Eat there most Saturday nights.

Not uncommon however to go in there 3-4 a week (especially during footy season) but have a softy or even a coffee instead and a yarn to the locals.

I’ve got a man cave with full setup so most of my catch ups are in there.
It’s great but I should get back to my local when I can, just time poor more than anything due to kids sports.
