Good to get the win but **** me, what an insipid performance.

For a midfield group that had the media talking them up all week as the best going around, didn’t they try their hardest to prove everyone wrong tonight.

I recon we won 75% of the hit outs and yet freo had 75% of the centre clearances.

Add to that we were constantly outnumbered at contests around the ground.
When you consider we had a tall (Finlayson) go out for a small in (Pep), and we also upgraded Burger to the full game on the wing, it was very disappointing to sit through that rubbish all night.
9 goals for the game, yuck!

So had our boys built up a level of complacency after spending the last 3 rounds at home? Did they buy into the media hype? Or was it some other reason we decided we wouldn’t put in the effort required?
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

The butters one had real potential for big damage due to the speed he was travelling at.
He's so bloody lucky he could've been looking at 6 or more.

Both got the player in the head, both didnt pick up the ball. Cant see how they can be judged different but somehow I suspect you are right.
Ch9 footy show even said they expect Butters to be judged more lenient cause he is a contender for awards.

Crouch's is worse mate, he chose to bump the guy in the head where Butters chose to go for the ball.

You've not seen the replays then?

Crouch gets the bloke high who was there first head over the ball, Butters is lower, harder and first to the ball.

So no.

They've had the cup sitting on their mantlepiece previously only to accidentally knock it off, if all teams played at a neutral venue without crowds Port would be about the 6th best team, they have the cattle, there's just something missing.

I think Freo are very underrated, they should've won.

Is there a ruder head and a filthier hair-do in the AFL than that of Waterman?
