I remember the last race day there.

For all the wrong reasons, had a massive bust up with my sister in law, both of use hammered and she threw a hay maker at me.

Wasn't a good day. We're all good now.

Last night we knocked out the top side, they'd lost 3 games in the 18 game season.

We got rolled in last years GF, time to make amends.

Curious. We all know everyone plays better 8 ball the drunker you get, do you apply this theory in these competitions?

There's a few consumed but I wouldn't consider it lets play Kelly Pool late at night drunk.

Given it's pubs in and around the Port there's no chance of them being dry events but it's a respectable Wednesday night comp. 7pm start and done by 845/9pm so you'd be starting early or going hard to get drunk at that time on a Wednesday.

We've been in the comp for 4 seasons, first season we finished 5th and missed finals, second season we lost the first final, last season we lost the GF, time to go one better next week we hope.

I have a mate that I always partnered in pubs when he was cactus, he could barely walk to the table and would take a couple of minutes to line up but rarely missed, he was ok when sober.

If I stopped drinking now I should blow under by next Thursday! And we had an AFD Wednesday!

Booked in for my first tat next Thursday, held two massive pythons, a bat and a scorpion yesterday, I didn’t think I could.

The hospitality here is on another level, it’s not hard to be a decent human being and these guys love it, especially if you learn a few simple words or phrases of appreciation, our plates are always fuller than the other overseas diners.
