Just heard Rawlings & Kennerley didn’t go down to the Glenelg change rooms post match. If true, that’s pretty poor form…

I’ll be disappointed if there’s not a good reason for that

Do they really need to these days? They would've shook hands with everyone on the field. Whats the point of going in the rooms and saying congrats when you dont want to be in there and do Glenelg really care?

Having had a few days to look back on not only the GF but the season as a whole, I’m still partly in a state of disbelief what my club was able to achieve. We lost key players from the ‘23 flag side in Partington, Turner, Pink & Newman. Our no 1 ruck in McGree missed over half the season & played the finals series (despite being banged up) solely on heart. Hosie missed all but 4 games of the season yet somehow made it back for the Prelim & GF, impacting both. We uncovered some gems in Window, Adams, Stevens, Walker & Ridgeway. Chandler proved once & for all he is a genuine league footballer & McLeod, Kitschke & Stagg will get their opportunity next season. There are already strong rumours of a couple of excellent “name” recruits/returns & while Sandy’s running the footy dept & some bloke called Reeves is coaching, there’s every reason to be optimistic for 2025.
But for now, I’m still letting “back to back” sink in…

The comparison to 1986 is eerie

Loss of key personal prior to the season, only two wins until May, couple of bad losses into the lead up to finals (Port and Torrens), thumping win in the last minor round, got it done in finals

As Spargo said the Boys just hung in all year. everyone played their role and made sure they were playing their best footy in finals.

So proud to be a Bays fan ATM
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Considering the Norwood bloke broke his neck and missed over a year of footy, yeah, I think you're wrong on that one

That was the incident where the Norwood trainer/doctor allowed Jack Saunders to get up and jog off the field IIRC…

In a halo brace for 4 months, I think Searle got his just desserts. Just because Saunders jogs off doesn't mean the action was any less ordinary, he's still got a broken neck. reading the article, it's lucky he wasn't paralysed.

Bloke that got Curran should have got a week as well

We'll give you that one but we'll also take the one in the 1st to McJesus not paid at the 5 min mark and the one to McJesus not paid at the 12 min mark of the third, both within 30 m....

He could've kicked nine!

Miss my mate Adelaide Hawk … understandable he’s not around anymore, seemingly too busy with MAGA these days.

I’m sure he’s advocating sacking the coach somewhere.

The MONSFAWs left on here have been exemplary, well done.
