From what I heard, it took an intervention in 2018 for Stone to actually realise he wasn't coaching an AFL team.

Fair credit goes to those at the Bay who got him to take a chill pill

The common thread and most important contributor to the Bays success over the last 5 years is Paul ‘Sandy’ Sandercock. The successful coaches have also, and in the case of a Reeves, continue to provide a massive contribution, but Sandy has been the glue to guide and make things happen.

Admit it, Cornesy is living rent free in the 5014, post code....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I don't recall Koch ever saying the VFL was better than the SANFL.

Why bring him into it at all? Graham's hurt.

A successful Glenelg Football Club mocking a mediocre and under-achieving Port Adelaide who can’t buy success to save themselves … who’d have thunk?

Perhaps Port will, one day, have their Copernicus moment, but for the time being, are the only ones to still believe in the Ptolemaic model :-s

Stone left in 2020.

Interesting Hand and Reeves have a similar coaching record at the club. Reeves 32-10. Hand is 31-10. Difference is in Finals. Reeves 6-0, Hand 2-3.

Sorry, should’ve been Hand I was referring to, not Stone. My mistake.

What was it at the end of 2022 that made Glenelg make the decision to replace Hand with Reeves?

Was going to be massive walkout of players, and the top end talent of their list too.

Apparently the players all thought he had no game plan and was not a good coach. Won games because they had the best list. Wasted two years.

Gould loses the appeal and gets 3 weeks.

Interesting he pleaded not guilty, given he clearly pushed Heard in the back. Would have gone down a different path if I were the Bays, arguing it was excessive

Not that it matters now, but he pushed him in the side, not the back, and the penalty handed down was directly proportional to the injury sustained by Heard, not the intent, etc by Gould.

This is the world we live in now, but c’est la vie.

My bad, was running off memory and thought it was in the back. Hopefully this is the trigger for him to get the stupidity out of his game. But, he ended up with a flag, so probably not!

Agree, he does have the odd brain fade ... hasn't quite worked out the line between aggressive but fair, and stupidity.

Still a very good player though.

13-38 First qtr it is shown
It appears that:
Gould pushed Heard with considerable force- it looked in the back not the side or more of the back than side
Heard was unsuspecting and had no chance to brace himself for the impact
This is not a biased view its what it looked like
I can agree with Dedja's last sentence though

Gould didn't consider Heard's hardness factor (Nil)

Told this morning by a Bayman that Norwood did not attend the chimney unveiling.

Any one able to confirm or refute this?
