Well whoever took the incriminating video which ultimately led to a raid which led to him being charged...nice work.
I'd rather my tax dollars spent on another nurse rather than waste it on this loser.

News Corp can’t help themselves but to muckrake in the gutter … now stalking Speirs and reporting his movements when he has been on a leave of absence from Parliament.

Just report the facts about the story, which you have already done to death, and leave the poor bloke be.

The courts will deal with the matters at hand, no need for a public hanging based on News Corp’s insatiable need for clicks.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

The media will hound someone to death then say ...what wait what?
We were just doing our job.

We need the media to keep the bastards/bitches honest but the media are now one of the bastards/bitches.

I had a old manger who spent some time as a liberal party member. We loved to stir him up abit and he loved to give us a bit back, great bloke, he saddly passed away a few years back, but his assessment on Spiers as leader probably ties into what you have said about his enemies coming for him.

In short, the media / PR would be busy.
He is from the right conservative / more Christian side of thr party however as old mate would say, has some extra circular activities which would conflict with those values..........the current charges aren't the only issue at foot.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

I don't have a problem with Speirs getting a public flogging.
We're paying his wage!

If it was a sportsperson, actor singer whatever, they would get the same treatment.

Ben Cousins and that O'Keefe bloke who keeps****ing up spring to mind.

Agreed. Not sure that there's any public interest in kicking him while he's down - leave that to the courts. If reports of journalists harassing him are true then that's just ridiculous.

If that video was leaked while he was still leader of the opposition, he'd probably be Premier by now.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Worst effing job in the world
What's happened doesn't surprise me
It takes a particular type of person to be a politician - I wouldn't do it
I have met plenty over my life and they are very different - quite hardened characters

Sorry but I've got no sympathy for this bloke at all.
The way of the world.
Get caught doing something you shouldn't and the mental health card gets drawn straight away.

Or was his mental health so bad he resorted to coke or whatever he's on?

Not sure if you heard him on the radio but he said they don’t currently have a candidate and are looking for one but have a couple in mind.

I think we all knew he wasn’t either going on or continuing with the Libs (going independent)

Probably working 24/7 - coke is not unusual for some of these people
