For who? No point the Roos continuing to go to the draft. May as well pay overs to bring some players in

Reckon the Dogs are paying part of his salary too. And he’s an elite kick out of defence, something we’ve lacked.

Im rapt with Caleb coming to the Roos, best decision maker in the game, premiership player and still 28. With Logue having a full season and Daniel back there our defence looks a lot better already.

How do you think your club went?

Adelaide was pretty good for a change. Hopefully somehow can get a ruck in the draft or rookie draft. Two definite starting 22 and Peatling improves the list instantly. Then add pick 4 midfielder.

If someone would trade our 3 F3 for a this year round 2 and we lobbed Dodson the ruck that would be the cherry.

8/10.

You have to pay overs when in our position, I said all year our kids are playing great footy but our senior players let us down, that's has been rectified now so I firmly believe we can now progress forward.

I cant say Im a huge fan of Darling coming in, but Parker and Daniel will be great additions.

Dodson would be a better option than the Crows chasing Goad, but both need quite a few years development

Has it been rectified.

-Daniels could barely make the bulldogs side and they weren't renowned for their defensive strength. He was a premiership player 8 years ago and an AA 4 years ago.....he isn't that bloke now.

-Parker was good when he was on the park but played 10 games for the year and he isn't getting any younger.

-Darling enough said.

Kangaroos are going to be either geniuses or the laughingstock of 2025. Grabbing blokes for their last career contract is a massive risk.

You weren't really in the market for him but the perfect fit for the Kangas would have been Dan Houston. 27 years old, 168 games and can seriously play.........that would have rectified the issue.

Even someone like Kennedy would have been a better get....27 years old, 118 games, midfielder in a side that had a top level midifeld.

I don't think it's that terrible from the Roos.
Add in some experience around the kids while they keep developing. The old boys retire the upward trajectory is still happening and then today's kids are guiding the next lot through. It's not too dissimilar to Hawthorn.
Forget Daniels and what he did at the Dogs this year particularly, Beveridge was all over the shop.
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Daniel is an upgrade, he'll add some quality to the back half and allow Sheezel to move from half back into the middle, but he's 29 next year and his best footy isn't ahead of him.
Parker played 10 games because he broke an arm early ( nothing to do with age ) and then copped weeks for a bump in the VFL. He turns 32 next week and he's topping up his super.
Darling, well, he's much maligned but he'll help Larkey by taking some attention of him and will help an undersized forward line.

Ultimately North get played at the trade table all the time and every club knows it, they don't land the ones they want and this is another year of recycling players hoping to add to their depth. They've got some really talented kids but nobody wants to go there unless it's out of desperation. You can't tell me any of the above 3 did it to better their careers, only their superannuation.

None of the players mentioned were playing in 2025 if they stayed at their current club

Neale-Bullen is an upgrade on McHenry and Murphy and Cumming is an upgrade on Nankervis, Parnell, Hammill and Milera who must have question marks over his body. Peatling is an upgrade on the wingers mentioned above too so while there's no star power coming in it's put 3 players into the top 25 on the list and pushed 3 out the bottom and it's cost next to nothing.

Certainly a win in that sense. Pick 4 will be interesting, wonder if they split it with Richmond for a couple of first rounders?

Thats my main point..... getting players who are just looking for their final contract is such a risky game. Especially in the case of someone like Daniels who couldn't even make the side he was at previously.

They will be an interesting watch in 2025.

I think him & Draper always get included when talk about ruck support for the Crows come up.

It's no secret they were really into him in his draft year.
