Fans voted him in to put pressure on the head coaching position, put pressure and challenge the footy department as well as Koch which I know for a fact he has done as well.

He was 100% the catalyst behind Hinkley being moved on. If Carr ends up being no good, then that is on Tredrea as well which I can cop in a few years time even though JC was set up to be the next coach before Tredrea was on the board (another Koch masterstroke). I am sure Tredrea is a supporter of it though so he can take responsibility for that in the long run whether it turns out good or bad.

I've met the bloke multiple times and not a fan of him personally, but taking the personal aspect out of it, like i said, he has achieved what he was elected to do.

Do you think if WT wasn’t elected, would Ken have got an extension?

I’m not having a crack, just a footy discussion

I think Ken would have got an extension.

Port Adelaide will be captained by three-time premiership player Justine Mules-Robinson for the 2025 NAB AFLW season, supported by a refreshed leadership group.

A key part of the club’s AFLW journey since its inaugural season, Mules-Robinson served as vice-captain in 2024 and seamlessly stepped up to lead the side when Janelle Cuthbertson was sidelined through injury early in the season.

A respected forward known for her relentless work ethic, dedication, and team-first mindset, Mules-Robinson was voted into the top leadership position by her peers and will proudly wear the number one guernsey.

She becomes the third player to wear the iconic number one, following in the footsteps of Erin Phillips and Janelle Cuthbertson, and described the opportunity as a privilege.

“To be named captain of this football club is such an honour,” Mules-Robinson said.

“The opportunity to wear the number one is not lost on me – it’s a privilege and a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

“This club has felt like home since the moment I arrived, and I am passionate about our young group and driving us forward.

“When I was first traded to Port, my beautiful late dad, Phil, told me I would be captain one day.

“I didn’t believe him at the time, but to now have this opportunity — and to be trusted by my teammates — means so much to me. I know he would be incredibly proud.”

Mules-Robinson will be supported by co-vice-captains Amelie Borg and Julia Teakle, with experienced midfielder Kirsty Lamb rounding out Port Adelaide’s 2025 leadership group.

Borg, Teakle, and Lamb have all been elevated to leadership positions at the Power for the first time, recognised for their growing influence, professionalism, and commitment to the team.

Mules-Robinson said she was grateful to lead alongside such a capable and well-respected team.

“I feel really lucky to have Amelie, Julia, and Kirsty by my side,” she said.

“We all bring something different to the table, which I think is our strength – we balance each other, and we all genuinely care about this group and want to see us grow.

“I’m excited for what’s ahead and I know as a leadership group, we’ll challenge each other and our teammates to keep improving.”

Port Adelaide Head of AFLW Shane Grimm said Mules-Robinson was the perfect choice to lead the team into its next chapter.

“Justine is a natural leader who leads by example in everything she does – whether it’s on the track, on game day, or in the way she connects with her teammates,” Grimm said.

“She is highly respected across the playing group and has played a huge role in shaping the standards and culture of our program.

“When Janelle went down with injury last season, Justine stepped up seamlessly. She showed incredible composure, maturity, and genuine care for her teammates.

“Her love for this club and her determination to help us succeed are evident to everyone who knows her. We are proud to have her lead our young and talented group.

“Amelie, Julia, and Kirsty each bring unique and invaluable leadership qualities, and are highly respected both as athletes and as people. They will provide outstanding support to Justine in her role as captain.”

Port Adelaide will begin its 2025 AFLW season with a home game against Fremantle at Alberton Oval on Sunday, August 17.

Sounds like WT has done the hard work that Kochie couldn’t do and now they have a reason to move him in on they will.
Bit unfair on WT and Kochie keeps his job without doing much

I hate to admit it but I agree.

Tredrea was member appointed, so the cleanest way to initiate any change to his term would be via the members if such a mechanism is provided by the Constitution. This is usually achieved by the required number of members requiring a special meeting to address the matter ie. call for his position to be declared vacant or for him to vacate his seat, etc.

Will be an interesting challenge for Juzzy and the team.
Much tougher draw this season, playing each of the top 5 teams from 2024, while only getting 1 game against last seasons bottom 5.

The midfield group remains a concern, with a lot of pressure on Moloney and Dowrick to do the bulk of the heavy lifting, and a real lack of pace through the guts.

Hopefully Indy Tahau returns this year, was certainly a shining light in season 1.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!
